Do the level 15 boots still drop from rainbow spiders in the offline game? I've killed so many, gotten at least 15 hammers, but 0 boots. Bad luck or misguided strategy?

I just tried it with my around 150 level team and got a boot drop and about a dozen hammers first.

Same ones. They drop from rainbow spiders too.

Wow! Don't know what to say...try a different spawn area? Three choices I think, two on archer map and east of martek in desert...

You drop things when you don't need them. I'm pretty sure how it works in both versions!

It's funny or disgusting...or both! You may have hit on the real reason though...is it at all possible since it is a quest reward item somehow it makes it difficult to get a second one or third etc.? Let me give an example in online game that I once noticed. Before the Kulgan tutorial quest came out you had to get boots from a crocy. There was a family of 4 needing boots so I said wait and I'd kill some mobs and get one for them each. The first few kills gave me a pair, but subsequent kills all I got were shields only. So I gave them the first pair and went back, and boom I got a second one then only shields. At that time in the game it seemed if I had a pair in my backpack I couldn't get another until I got rid of it. Just wondering if something similar is going on here.

You can only carry one pair of speed boots at once (in the MMO - I'm not sure about the RPG). This is why what you describe happened.
