PvP Score and Ranking

I've had it, this pvp is a pain. Nothing personal but I've purged my friend lists, I'll miss you all.
But after 9 years I think I'm through. I will not pay "protection money" just to be able to play in peace.
That's a racket any mafia Don would be proud of. I may stop buy to say hi to old friends but I've
had enough! It's no longer a relaxing pastime. If I want these hassles I have the real world for that.

I'm sorry for Melkor.
For what little I know of him he is a kind, helpful and nice player.
Let's not forget that we are talking about a 5K character. A character that can be attacked by most of the FT characters.
This problem could one day be mine too.

As I have said many times, if they attack me I disconnect. But it happens very rarely. so that's okay. but what if the attacks become more frequent and constant?
PVP is now also encouraged by the leaderboard.

At the end of it all, on the one hand MELKOR is right!
However, I hope to see him again at 0.0 fishing, or around FT. He was a discreet and constant presence. A shame to lose it.

First of all, I attacked you, my level is 1.5k, you're level 5k+. If you choose not to pay for pvp protection fight back. Stop crying and man up. Pvp is a huge part of the game and if you don't like it leave buddy.

Melkor I am sorry it has come to this. When I first started playing after a few months I questioned if this was the kind of game I really belonged in. But I made friends and decided to stay and years later I am still here. The things I didn't like still exist though and I still question from time to time why I devote the time I do to it. I guess what one of the GM's once said to me is still valid too when I teetered on the brink (probably teetered 3-4 times) of quitting " the game needs players like you". So I repeat that here my friend the game needs players like you as a person of refuge from the madness. But I understand how you are feeling, time is precious so why continue in something with diminishing returns that brings more negatives than positives. Still...it makes me sick that you feel you must go after so many years of commitment. You deserve better!

Coolguy, not everyone is into pvp. It is a big part of the game, but that doesn't mean need to like it or want to participate. Fight with people that want to fight you, if you like it so much. It's a game, so don't ruin other people's fun for the sake of your own.

I agree with what justj99 said. Except PvP is not a 'big' part of the game, it is simply a part of the game.

IMHO PvP should be restricted to [clan] members. Note that: IMHO
