Ah SK that makes it clear now, to be able to rescue items after a pet dies because by the time you do it all in real time the items might disappear off the screen. So the old way you could log off, buy a pet, log back on and have the full time to gather back your items, now all must be done very fast.
Well I hope that doesn't happen too often. It is a difficulty with the new way. But probably for most purchases done I think it isn't an emergency? I have lost items with dead pets but usually ore from mining and were shop pets.

some pruchases taken time when is a bad connection to google, or you have written wrong passwort and have to activate/choose new pet. All takes time, and the time runs in the background
Maybe in spawn we can loose another pet too, like me as my 1st pet died....mosters spawned again, and killed my 2nd pet too, because it was organge before the purchasement.

Really, in my opinion, I see that the game is already dead, they put updates often, that's true, but they only add Radoms things there are many bugs in the game many suggestions from the community like new skills new characters clan improvements new buildings new maps story advancement in missions not even the game is fully 100% translated i was a very active player many high lvl accounts and waiting for content to encourage me to continue playing but I really see interest now this game for me was the best years ago but right now there are so many errors and complaints within the same system that many think and that's the only reason they go to prison there are no fair systems 1 time I was imprisoned for repairing a wall 2 days in jail just for that xD what a laugh Anyway, I'm leaving this game looking for something better I really wish the community the best because there are fewer and fewer people and that is quite noticeable I withdraw from this great game that was for me in its moments
