Forgotten Tales

I have to give the chef brown wolf and zander fish.
I got the brown wolf but I can't find the fisherman.
I've completely explored the West side though stopped at Viking Isle because enemies are too strong.
I got stuck with the same quest previously and started a new game twice thinking perhaps there was a problem with the sequence. Nope: same problem!
Where is the fisherman in the rpg?
Do I have to do something special to spawn him?
I am level 7 now.
Please help!

Go to -1.-1 and walk to just south of the river on the right hand side, almost where you change screens to the map to the right.

The npc is there fishing in what looks like a puddle!

Yes, I 've explored - 1 - 1 many times but after reading your post I gave it another try...
There are no puddles anywhere and I could not find any fisherman.

I' m playing this game because I've been pretty much bed ridden for the past 3 years because of a serious illness. I discovered it by chance and it's therapeutic for me to take my mind off the current situation.
However, it gets very frustrating when you can't complete quests.

I guess life itself is an rpg and my current character (over 50 woman, living in Cambodia) has had enough of everything: I need un upgrade!

If you have a screenshot of the location, that would be great but I guess I would have found him by now,
unless he has entered a new dimension and thus become invisible to me: a humble player.

Yes -1.-1 just south of the river about halfway between the eastern edge of the map and the road on the west. I think sometimes he is slow to appear. You have to walk back and forth in that area until the pond appears. If I remember correctly you can't see his little pond until he appears with it. Hope that helps.

He and the puddle magically appeared just when I had given up on searching.

Some NPCs spawn like monsters and appear. Others are always in the same place. He's one of.the "spawn" types. The same place in the map will always spawn him, but he won't always appear in the same place.
