I think the Development trying to do the game realistic with all the new things like killing rabbits or planting seeds…
I think It could be a cool Idea to make tools not unlimited useable.
It would be cool if Pickaxes or All other tools could taking damage after a few time and you have to repair it…
1HP like 1 Skill point
Tool +1: 1000HP
Tool +2: 3000HP
Tool +3: 10000HP
Tool +4: 20000HP
Then the HP will shown on that tool like 8800HP/10000HP at a tool +3
To repair the tools you have to go to a crafter and repair it
5% of HP
Tool +1 need 5 Stone for 5% HP
Tool +2 need 5 Steel Ingots for 5% HP
Tool +3 need 5 Mithril Ingots for 5%HP
Tool +4 need 2 Meteor for 5% HP
I think that would make the game a bit more realistic because a tool in reallife isnt unlimited too…
Greetings Florian

You could apply the same thought process to weapons and armour. That wouldn't be popular either.

Great idea.
I need to make some clarifications in my opinion.
How much HP do you lose a tool (or weapon or armor)? Or is it removed from him? Or can't it be used?
What if it is removed from my back and I have no space in the bag?
If I can't use it how do I make stones to improve it? Do I buy another one?
But I like the idea, we could use the many blacksmiths around now unused waiting for work.
Then if I don't ask too much, a small mission to activate them, but maybe I exaggerate XD.
I follow.

My only comment is that the game itself already is inconsistent. There are quests where you break mithril tools in the process of getting access to certain areas. Why do they break there? It makes sense then that a tool weakens through use. Really it also makes sense a weapon gets dull or damaged, or a shield strap or handle breaks, or armor needs repair or legs. I am not suggesting this be adopted because of logic though as there are other things in the game that aren't mirroring real life either. I think most players would think it a big bother to have to stop their mining or chopping with the limited play time they have to repair tools. At least with the broken tools quest you got something in return access to a new area so it is a positive not a negative repairing tools might be.

Much smiths in the game excist who dont really need…
If a tool break, it has 0HP but still in inventory but you cant use it until you repair it.. so if you have a tool+3 and its on 0Hp
You have to mine mithril with a +1 Pickaxe to repair it…
To @Syor I showed that 1Hp=1 Fish,stone,wood……
I think that would make the game a bit more cooler and thanks for the answers
