Kulgan's quest

Post by mYHome »

Reduce the amount of resources in the quest according to the class!
For example, a gnome has 0.5 fish and an ogre has 1.5, so an ogre brings 20 fish and a dwarf 5!
Stones too, gnome 20, ogre and archer 5, mage 10

Many newcomers do not complete the Kulgan quest completely!
Have you ever tried with a fisherman level 0 dwarf to get 20 fish?

I've completed the full tutorial probably 20-30 times with a variety of classes. It isn't terribly difficult.

The Kulgan quest requires 10 fish not 20. Later quests require 30 fish and 20 rare fish.

I've seen newcomers of many classes ask for fish at 0.0 from others, and later for help with rare fish.

It is slow, my main Gullander is a Freya/dwarf and I know it! But each class has strengths and weaknesses and the sooner a player learns it the better. Later on when dwarves get to the 30 fish quest they actually can buy fish at Banktown but rare fish is more difficult for sure, bur some quests are harder than others and is part of the game.

I think anyone can buy fish at the Banktown Shop.

The shop even buys them :)

YES! And if a player doesn't they only have themselves to blame.
Something is hard for every player that just starts!

Should it be:
All characters catch 10 fish in 10 seconds - +1 rod
All characters mine 10 items* in 10 seconds - +1 pickaxe
All characters chop 10 trunks in 10 seconds - +1 axe

20 in 20 seconds with tool+2
30 in 30 seconds with tool+3
40 in 40 seconds with tool+4
50 in 50 seconds with tool+5

Your idea of reducing amounts because of "affinities" amounts to the same thing.
Totally destroys the idea of classes having different strengths and weaknesses

Yes, I understood that and I have taken a LOT of alts through that quest.
Every one end's up at a minimum of level 15 doing Kulgan Tutorial Quests.
