I completed the quest with the forester
Went back to talk to Koulgar's assistant
Boots appear at the top left corner but I can't take them because the assistant is still speaking
Assistant finished speaking but the speed boots are gone.

If a similar thing happens again, tap the X icon to stop the dialogue, collect the item and then tap the NPC again to restart the dialogue.
