Call it sour grapes

Sour grapes is a term about having a negative attitude because you can't have something someone else has. I try not to be this way but when things aren't equal and money has been spent it's hard not to feel at least a small bit that way. I am referring to the recolor items, especially the plus given.

What started this scenario was I decided to upgrade a 1250 axe, although I had thought in my retired state of playing I wasn't going to spend any more money on the game, it had belonged to Gullander and I thought it deserved a name. The base is 1300 and after coloring and naming it received a 14% increase. :( So this morning I see a player with a 1000 axe that must have been a +2 before recolor with a base of 1200 raised 19.7% . It occurred to me we had paid the same amount of money for our recolor but got more or less for our money, hence the sour grapes. In a logical world with fairness if two people buy a product it should be the same for both. And before someone mentions a 1250 is speed 8 and a 1000 speed 7 I'm talking about equity in spending here. It seems to me recolor should be made a uniform % for all at 20%. Everyone spends the same they should expect the same product.

I'll try to find some sweet grapes now to enjoy. But I'm back on my usual mantra here there should be fairness for all players, maybe even more so when they've spent money for a product everyone can buy they should expect equal results. Granted they do get to make it the color they want and give it a cool name and that is the same fun experience, I just think the plus should be the same for all. In the end my 1250 axe is 56 points higher than the 1000 I saw. (But 50 of those were in original base 1250=1300 and the 1000=1000)

The Same thing happened to me with shield 3,5k i got only 1600 arm . And i see other players got 1800+ . Do u know how hard to get 3,5k items. And you recolor them the result very low (x%) than other players xD . It's really bad.
But that's don't bother me .cus u might get more points on other item and the other player not. It's luck.
But you will lose the name .

It's a shame but it's a gamble. A boost is great though and a shield not dropping is amazing.

I didn't mention the no drop feature because it is a weapon and cannot be dropped for any reason. Perhaps a weapon recolor then should have a set plus, just like making a +0 weapon to a +1 or +2 gives a set %. Just a thought, and like in game plusing to +1 or +2 requires equal effort by everyone for the same result so spending money to upgrade a weapon should be the same for all.

Yes, it's not fair What is not fair to you will make another person happy who has less means than you
Now I will say how
There are people who can easily buy from Google Store They buy and see that the shield or weapon is not upgraded as much as they would like
And they try to buy again and succeed
Now they have additional upgraded weapons that they don't need
And people like me who can never buy from Google store have a chance The opportunity to buy upgraded weapons at a lower price without the worry of never being able to buy them from the store I don't think it's fair, but it's an opportunity for people like me
♥️🌹

Meri...."Yes, it's not fair What is not fair to you will make another person happy who has less means than you"

You are right my friend, the first unfair thing is the opportunity to even upgrade at all! I am glad though the attempt for better upgrades makes lesser upgrades available in the in game market. For me I'm not going to try again at another weapon with hopes of a better upgrade. It occurred to me while reading your response that i have fallen into the trap of being unthankful, and letting envy or even greed for more cloud my thinking. For this I am sad as I did not consider those without any opportunity at all. :(
I shall use Gulls 1250 axe with pride as you Meri were one of the friends who contributed to it's making when I did not have the materials to make it myself. That's what I should have remembered not being sad and sour.
