I love this game
Many others do too, and have this same problem.

It kills my battery so quick, that my phone doesn't charge when plugged in if I play.

Would it be possible to have a toned down version, with less visual effects (toggling on/off), in hopes that it would save power usage?

I'm sure you've done this, but lowering screen brightness should help some too (I'm in the same boat though, battery drains faster than it can charge )

When i had Galaxy S4 it was so...

i noticed (and im not crazy) that when in the green robes dungeon that it definately uses less power.
thats because the colours are darker down there and therefore dont require as much energy.

on archer field, its bright sunny green colour. therefore uses lots of battery.
my phone used to deplete charge considerably quicker then it could charge whikst playing this game. i used to hate it when it flickered. cos then it means i can write a third of a sentence before it dies.
my solution to the problem with this game would just be to 'cast a shadow' over the world, or darken the screen. because theres only so far our brightness can be turned down on our devices.
mines on minimum and it still used to deplete faster then recharge.

for the record....my phone used to use more battery then it can charge but stopped the day i factory reset it.
it now charges faster then i can use it. so if its really bad, you should consider factory resetting your phone.
be sure to remember all passwords before you do this.

I have my brightness down and my battery is charging at 44%, but having brightness up uses up pretty much the whole battery, maybe try having some apps closed and the brightness down , hope this is somewhat useful

I'm always using the lowest brightness...

Brightness down, no volume on (ever, so I don't know the music or the mooing cows), nothing on in the background. I may try the factory reset idea, but not too hopeful on it.

Mike says.tho, if u paid to have adverts removed from this game, when u reinstall it, the adverts come back.
so beware of that.

play during u charge ur android, me i charge 10H/day for15H play

it loses charge faster then it gains charge.
