Forgotten Tales Statistic Calculation Worksheet

Post by davidjett »

Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this will benefit all of you, but I've built a spreadsheet that calculates the spell strength and regeneration rates of your character in the game using your character stats. The link to the file can be found below. I've also included screenshots of the worksheet so you can look to see if it is something you would use before downloading.
All cells are locked with the exception of the few you enter your characters attributes into so there is no chance of accidentally messing up the formulas.

Let me know if you find it useful. I like it for playing around with my stats to see what will happen if X = Y, etc..

v.2014-08-07
-Calculates Yellow Flow Spell Damage
-Calculates Green Flow Spell Damage
-Calculates Heal Spell HP Gain (HP per cast)
-Calculates Armor Spell ARM Gain (ARM per cast)
-Calculates HP Regeneration Time (HP gained every 4 seconds)
-Calculates Mana Regeneration Time (Mana gained every 5 seconds)

v2014-08-08
-Fixed calculation error with Green Flow Spell (thanks joeylamcy)

v2014-08-10
-Now has a drop down for all enemies including enemy stats (Missing stats Shadow Mage and Freya
-New Calculation - Chance of hitting enemy in percentage based on dexterity match and possible die roll
-New Calculation - Damage done to enemy based on die roll (4 or 5 critical)
-New Calculation - Damage done to enemy if non-critical roll (ARM vs DMG)
-New Calculation - Number of hits required to kill enemy IF NO criticals ever rolled (worst case scenario)

Thanks! What is really neat, is that provided your dexterity is at least six points higher than that of the monster you can calculate precisely how many hits and how long it will take to kill a monster.

well, for the regeneration time, i expect a "time"(e.g. 80 seconds), not a points regenerated per 4/5 secs. (However, that makes HP regenration time useless, since it is fixed)
Seems like a better wording can be used :D

about the non-spell damage, there's a way to calculate (by using ratio)
For example,
Char's str: 250
Char's dex: 150
VS
Opp's arm: 150
Char's dex: 125
If u roll 4/5, u deals 250 damage (2 cases)
If u roll others, u deal 100 damage (9 cases)
so damage dealt in 11 hits= 250x2+100x9=1400
so average damage of 1 hit=1400/11=127

And u can calculate the case:
(1) where char's str and dex are both higher than Opp's arm and dex (just as above)
(2) where char's str lower than opp's armor, but char's dex is higher
(3) where char's dex is lower than opp's
and more... (if u need any help, pm me :D )

But, anyway, this is good work, and worth appreciations :D

this looks great (haven't checked it out yet) -- just want to point out one thing, remember that during pvp the spells are cut in half (on average anyway... not exactly in half for each cast) :)
