RPG mode: can you pump the dwarf and the ogre, please?

Hi, as you can see from this discussion ( viewtopic.php?f=16&t=5016&p=39285#p39285 ) I think there is a severe unbalancement among recruitable characters in the RPG mode.
If I have clearly understood how combat happens, the Ogre has a terrible handicap since he starts at level 3 and has 4 skill points less than the main character.
If I've made correct homework, since dexterity is the most important attribute in the game being essential both to hit and to dodge attacks, and since there is a random variance of 11 points (almost like rolling a 10-faces dice), It means that the ogre has something like a 40% lower hit rate less than the main character, and the dwarf 20% less.
If the dwarf's handicap is affordable and somehow he starts with a decent equipment and more HPs, especially the ogre spends most of the time being meat for cannons, since he has pretty lame stats and has severe difficulties in defending from and hitting foes which are a fair challenge for the other characters.
So, the question is: in the RPG, can you set all of them to level 1 OR give +2 Armor and +1 Dexterity to the Dwarf and +2 Strength, +1 Armor and +3 Dexterity to the Ogre? I think it would make them more useful and with better scores accordingly to their races. Thank you!
