Mage joining the party

I have completed the bracelets quest and no matter how many times I invite the mage into the party the blue knight leaves and will not rejoin saying I do not have enough money! I have thousands of coins! Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I am playing the RPG version. Thank you!

Also during the chat to invite the mage. The blue knight says he hates this mage and will leave . Is this part of the storyline and is there someway.to increase mage/blue knight faction? I tried dozens of times to do this like in the YouTube video with negative results! Anyone have any suggestion s or answers I would greatly appreciate them!!!

you have to choose one. you canthave both the knight and mage. if u invite the knight. the mage will leave and wont come back.
