You need to craft it.

You can also buy it from other players.

I'm a party of 5 (me, archer ogre blue knight and adventurer) at level 13. I can't find much to do except grind. The quests I have are beyond my level (lizard egg, Ascanius' Library, yellow crystal) as I die before touching even a single enemy I encounter. Where can I find some things to do at this level?

In this game there is a LOT of grinding levels.

That's one of the advantages of mmo version. You get to interact with people from all over the world while grinding.
Offline game is all solo. I used to play it when I didn't have wifi access.

yeah, definitely a lot of grinding... the ability to purchase levels allowed the characters to progress faster than the game could be developed, so in order to keep up with the top level players, there are a lot of gaps in quest availability ... they are filled in when possible, while also developing everything else. It's not a super fast process, but it sure is fun to watch and be a part of
