This if found by me, pretty sure first player here, and lots of credit to SilverStar (my sister) for giving me the map of which I cannot obtain.

been there too. but npc doesbt talk and doors wobt open.
did you get the ring of protection from witch?
i did and i see a forrestwr npc in the area yu stand and an angel like guy behind the door.
but both dont have talk bubbles

To cross that door (you have to choose the right door
) you need the "ring of protection" AND you must have shown this ring to Ascanius before.
Check your quest log.

quest log apparently took a time tobe updated. maybe lag or connection. had hard time to connect too. few hours later the quest was there were it wasnt at first.

Weird i cant show ascanius the ring ? ( he is the guy in the library right?)

Havent done the quest yet, but i think the mage in library is Sebastius and the one you need (Ascanius) is the one you found outside the ogre caves in the snow lands.

Yes - Ascanius is the mage on the same map as the siege weapon castle.

Problem is i cant talk to him either
