Mages vs rest of class

I know it's been discussed till were blue but at 600 mages come powerful extremely. Say you have a 600 mage say 1k mana so that does 1250 damage for 5 mana and regens a base 25 mana per 5 sec even in combat thats 5 cast which is total 6250 damage per 5 second. That's a whole lot of damage! However nerfing a mage just pisses people off. My ideal stop the regen in conbat like health keep the 5sec regen out of battle but increase it to .050 which gives mage 50 mana every 5sec out of battle.
As for the melee class I feel the melee and archers pretty close to balance now. However still off vs a mage. My ideals for these class first individual skill timer mages use 5 spells why can't they use 3 or 4 skills? Also i feel a slight increase in damage say 1 strength for 1.5 damage so take a 600 archer say his stat 800 str 400 dex with bow speed 7 so he would hit roughly 2023 per second instead of 1350 per second. Maybe a little high in increase may lower to say 1.25 damage for 1 str. Heres numbers on 1.25 that be 1k str 1683 damage per second.
I did all calculation without gear only on base this another issues that may needed adjusted such as mage gear adds to damage as blitz been saying but leave the dex to magic alone for now see how this works. Please share input as need concerns from all classes thanks.
