Even better, get yourself 3 ballistas and a Xtra backpack= 100 item slots

so now u made freeze and stun useless. just cary around 90 unfreeze potions.
of course mages still can slow. no unslow.
why not just make mages over lv 300 immortal.
again a change which mostly benefits the strongest class.
only way to combat is is introduce a max on amount of pots. say 10 max. store pots in belt not backpack

Speaking from our perspective, I don't think one needs 90 unfreeze pots to counter stun or frost arrow. Having an additional backpack and a dragon pet, personally, I keep no more than 5 anti-freeze/stun pots. Even those pots are more than enough for 5 or so consecutive battles, as the battle field is so hot that none can stay for long. i agree with u there for ur lvmage.
what i mean is a lv400 mage who can slowely kill a lv1500+ archer by slowing/attacks. his 50+ pots allow him to escape for an hour long battle. since limited speed of bow doesnt allow archer to kill fast. mge can unfreeze , slow and heal, attack. repeat for an hour and archer or mellee dies .
