Item Levels, Values and Availability

IMO some of these are out of whack. 2 examples are:
Spectre Wand - statistically you need to kill 1000 mushys and 1000 spectres to obtain the materials you need to craft for a 125 lvl wand OR you can spend $1.50 US and get a lvl 150 wand, worse case pay someone 20-30 mil in gold to obtain and then use this same wand, spend a couple mil in gold and you got a 175 lvl wand.
So its 60 or more hours grinding to make a lvl 125 wand or 1 minute to make an in-app purchase for a lvl 150.
Swamp Bow - statistically you need to kill 500 ghost archers or 1000 huntresses to obtain (I think). In my time playing (a little over a year) I have never received a swamp bow drop and I have spent 15 hours or more grinding on ghost archers. On the other hand, I have killed 20 or so boss dragons and have gotten 3 diamond bow drops.
These are just a couple of examples I know of based on the characters I play, and I guess my point/question is, shouldn't the higher level items be more difficult to obtain????

Good point time. And some items are just a mystery and cannot be gotten.

First, we all know that the game is in development phase, suffering from growing pains. The items which we think as higher or very rare now, would soon become obsolete, as plethora of ideas are being produced. For sure, the development team is not sitting idle, many things are being sifted.
Second, the items you mentioned as rare drops are very easy for high level players. i dropped three swamp bows in one hour grinding. I could have made a king's treasure if high level items were not easily accessible to low level players. This has been happened in the past. A swamp bow was sold for more than 40m, an amount which was a nightmare for many. If the items get rarer, it will only benefit high level players. The low level can get them by paying an extraordinary amount of gold or buy levels for the person in possession. As the game has produced many ultra high level players, making drops rarer and hard to get, will directly benefit high level players. This is an elitist approach which I do not subscribe to. I would love to see low level players getting drops themselves. I do agree that some drops should be made rare, but not all.
I wonder if there is any game that does not have in-app purchases. Many players do not have that much free time to grind insanely for items. For them, there ought to be a facility to buy some items. On the other hand, this is a social community as well, some can buy for real money, others can't. People make friendships, come in contact, they love to gift one another through such purchases. This makes the experience more rewarding. Plus, it also pay a little for the team hard work.

there are a lot of good points in this post - - as Eclipse said, the game is still growing quickly.... to speak to the original examples: spectre staff was the highest level wand in game when it was developed, and served a different purpose than its closest rival (diamond staff) ... that's why it was set that way. however, I agree that maybe it should be simplified a bit now (maybe increase drop chances of dust and bones for example) - - as for swamp bow, I think it's still about right... especially since it's needed for a quest as well (however I think the special drops of diamond bow may be too high)
anyway, thank you for the input, stuff like this is always considered when things are redone and rebalanced
(except for comments saying that these issues mean the updates are bad... that's just so silly that I'm not sure if it was a serious comment or a joke lol)

agree with both if u actually.
2 remarks. the rare items are easy for hight lvl mages only. not other high lvls.
the game is indeed much in development but its being changed from a questing/grindi
ng game to a pure pvp game.
still think that most items should not be purchasable.
buy ahigh lvl mage, buy your lvls. buy ur items, buy inventory space, buyur skin. its becomming a pure pvp game more and more. grinding isbecomming obsolete. i think thats a big shame.
jony used to be the biggest grinder as well as biggest pvp er. not anymore

I'm afraid of that exact thing - - the quests I'm working on now will hopefully introduce an idea which will combat that a bit... and other changes balancing pvp and pvm I hope lol - should help with that too... if mages weren't so overpowered it would solve a lot I think

Yes, I think this would help to balance a bit.
Ultimately, I think there should be a correlation between the level of an item and difficulty to obtain said item.
And I definitely understand that the game is in constant development, it's one of the things I love about it.
And don't worry re, there's still plenty of us grinding away

I was killing archers one at a time with my low lvl archer. With in 30 kills on ghost archers I got a swamp bow and a diamond bow.
also I have gotten 2 swamp bows before each time only popped on screen killed 1-2 and got drop. Its all luck
