Game balance

Whilst I think a lot of people will welcome the 1/100 cap on drops, I'm not so sure. It's changed the balance and the "economics" of the game. Whereas earlier, when I needed a Fragarach sword for a quest, I either had to spend a hefty 15 million at the little wagon at the top of the map or kill a couple of thousand knights.
Knights were too hard to kill then, I could barely kill three and survive so I had to spend a lot of gold coins. Now I only have to kill 100 or so knights to get one. Knights are easier to beat now and I'm levelling using them so I've got a backpack full of Fragarach swords. They're no longer worth anything in real terms because I can just sell them and get 100's of millions of gold coins and buy whatever I want. I'm suddenly *rich* and I don't really have to work so hard for anything. Is this good?
Collecting all the Mithril gear for the quest is well worth it both in terms of the reward and the mega-experience points but now all you've got to do to complete the quest is buy two items of armour and kill a couple of hundred big mice.
I actually quite enjoyed the challenge of finding the best room in the dungeon to spawn giant rats without too many pink mages contaminating the chance of a mithril armour drop then finding the best "trigger" point to get them coming out of the walls and killing them like flies. Great fun.
Yes, sometimes the 1/1000 was a pain - Fairies!!! - but actually if they're so hard to kill, you should wait until you've levelled a bit to be able to handle them. Fairy nuff?
Now it's too easy. Anyone agree?
