selling for real money

i know selling ur char for real money is forbidden since any trading is forbidden.
but
lately lv250 equipment has only been offered in exchange for levels. levels need real money to be bought.
In many games trading for real money is forbidden.
it makes certain items unaccessible to those without money. it stimulates rule breaking etc.
So is this trading for money and trading for levels allowed or not?
I think we need a clear rule about this.

Personally i think asking for lvls for gear is kinda pushing it. I mean look at Jony how many players bought him lvls for gear.
But also good that happened. If he ever gets perm jailed he can transfer lvls. But need all of the google respites
All of the players that bought him lvls have the respites not him how many are going to send them in for his lvl transfer. Maybe a few.
But in the end he will lose lvls. So maybe that is punishment for asking for lvls

Selling a character for real money is a far cry from selling level 250 equip for levels. Equipment are already available in in-app purchases for real money, buying them is rule breaking?

Wrong. It makes certain in-app purchases accessible to many players who cannot afford to shop. It motivates playing to the max.

Trading something for levels is allowed, of course; trading a character for money is a grey area. Combatant himself trades gold and items for real money.

yes but its creators decision. its no coincidence that the most powerfull items are NOT purchasable items ( at least i asume this).
selling for lvls the players decision.
it promotes more cheating.
already people are getting scammed rrading items for items. trading items for real money (lvls) is much riskier. what if the item is receaved and lvls not bought. or lvlsbought and item not given.
in game purchases carry a guarantee from creator.
when an item is introduced as party only or vry hard to get i assume creator has a reason for that.i suspect that reason is not to give free levels to the receiver.

i dont understand.
buying lvls to get this item needs real money. if u dont have that you cant get the item.
i am talking about selling for lvls here.

I am not asking for your opinion. you are not the creator. you are not in GM team.
in many games in app purchases are there but trading is forbidden. in real world in many countries gambling is firbidden unless in government controlled ways.
last point.
i could actually make a better case of allowing sale of characters. if u spend $2000 on a character and then get jailed, get bored or whatever, its a bit unfair not to be allowed to try to get some of your money back.
allowing this unlimited levelbuying has opened a box of pandorra. Its one of the reasons many games do not allow it but put cabs on levels which are periodically raised (with new updates mostly).
If you search internet and legal databases you will find courtcases have been fought and won/lost on these things. as soon as real money gets involved, consumer protection laws kick in in many countries.
And tricking in game can become legal theft.
thats why i think we need clear and precise rules for this.
there are players from many countries and many laws can apply.

i second the motion to know exactly the stand of admin team or creator of ft for this issue of selling account for real money?
coz at some point in time i decided to sell my account and GM told me that it is forbidden and yet trading items for lvls are rampant...

This we all know;
There is cheating in game with regards to trading, I agree. it is the sole responsibility of the parties involved in any given trade, if any unpleasant thing happened, they have to face it. No help should be expected from the GM. Officially, trading of any sort is not recommended. The main reason is that, it creates more problems, solving which, waste the GM times which could be used in the improvement of game!
The trading is not illegal. It is not feasible to monitor trades.
Suppose it is illegal, trade will still happen in black market.

just rearrow said we need admin or creator to officially announce that it is both illegal so that we have basis to report it...if its illegal there should be consequences!

we have a clear rule. it is forbidden.
as said, this will not clear out the black market.
rearrow, if you have a suggestion, where to place this info, write me a PM. for me, it was a clear rule, but players know better in this case.

whoa whoa wait a min... this statement makes it look like you and creator have made gold + items for $ exchanges?
and as G said there is no grey area... it is forbidden.. always has been... just cuz some do it dont mean that "theres a grey area" its the black market... <----- in no way am i sayin here you can buy slaves }-)

So to clear this up. Example. 250 plate being traded by person 1 to person 2 for 10 levels. Gear sales for levels/real money id considered forbidden and rule breaking?
If so, this hasnt in the slightest been enforced. At all. If its not illegal, well youve already had issues of extortion brought to your attention. By the way, he is still doing it. Hes just being polite about it these days.
