Easy fix. Limit clan builds not by map but in total.

Thing is, it won't fix the ever expanding duplicate clans and one man or woman clans arising from Building Limits...ayZuse wrote:Easy fix. Limit clan builds not by map but in total.
I can see how that can be abused and is being abused right now. I was thinking the same thing too but then I realized how it could be abused...sigh.
Because in the past and currently now that is what we are facing with, duplicate clans taking more space to expand their empire utilizing 2 or more Clans to do so...which is why the developers wanted to take action in the taxing feature, to stop this Trend of Duplicate and One Man or Woman Clans..taking up all the map spaces, which other newer players could acquire but can't when it's all taken by 1-5 Clans already who are making duplicate Clans as well.
I can see the point of where the developers are going with this taxing, so they can get more players and new players to stay and play to have something to work for building their Clan. But without room, it contradicts trying to have more players or new players in the game for their common Clan goals and to further this game to get bigger with much more people and paying customers, the game is at a crucial choice to expand to stay up and running.
There are lots of people who don't realize the "costs" to keep such a game up and running on these servers plus keeping it in Google Play for others around the World to download. Without revenue from current and new players as well the game developers getting motivational paid or commendedly inspired...the game can only get so big...and only remains so long as it's foundation that's holding it all up.
Sincerely,
Q

Why you make 1 clan per IP address so same person cant have 2 clans. Then give clans a 15-20 build limit in total. There are better ways than the taxes.
Tbh taxes wouldnt hurt LGND just make me get rid of builds not on the boarder.

Re: Ideas for improving land situation on clan maps.
This is one of the most challenging issues that this game has faced: balancing the needs of existing and loyal players against those new players wish to develop but feel frustrated that they can't access the clan maps to their liking.
I've read the various threads about this, have borrowed (stole!) ideas from others and added my own thoughts.
Clan dukes decide whether their clan is either (a) PVP-based or (b) a more peaceful building/crafting-based. Making this irreversible decision has the following effects upon the clan building(s):
a) PVP-based clan. The clan and buildings stay as they are in the current PVP clan maps, however (as suggested by others), clans can only have a limited number of structures. I quite liked the points -based method raised elsewhere. The building(s) can be upgraded and attacked. Positives: same crafting abilities / same defence against attack. Negatives: will incur a tax penalty - or something similar - to ensure clans remain active.
b) Peaceful clan ...for those who like the posterity of clan buildings but for a variety of reasons will not be able to keep up with a tax system (or whatever is decided). Their buildings are limited to a lesser limit (1? 2?). The buildings can be upgraded but cannot be attacked and (possibly)will be moved to a new 'peaceful clan' map. They have crafting capabilities. Other clans can build near them as they are basically for show. Players have to be a certain level to build these and they have to keep upgrading them otherwise they will disintegrate with time. This will stop level 1 players sitting on level 1 towers or whatever.
Flaws in the plan? Probably! But these are initial ideas to be debated and changed as necessary. Help yourselves!

Re: Ideas for improving land situation on clan maps.
Well put creasant q......there's going to have to b an upkeep cost......daily is a little ridiculous but as I posted before weekly or biweekly is deffinately feasible by most clans that aren't a 1 man/woman or a duplicate clan....could even do a monthly tax....for example: could have a 1 or 2% biweekly upkeep cost or have a 3 or 4% monthly cost.....clans having to spend 200m+ a day is unreal but spending 200m+ a month is doable...I personally could make that in 5 days pretty easily my self and I'm only lvl 435...let alone the other funds other clan members would provide
