I think that all of these ideas have valid points. I remember when I used to play Diablo 2 and World of Warcraft. In these games, at least when I played them, players would have to ask permission before they could PVP with me. I really liked this as I play FT for the PVM and social experience. I really like Leones suggestion of joining a clan if a player wishes to engage in PVP. I have heard many players complain that when they are not in a clan and get attacked while they are grinding, it really frusterates them. I have had many, many, many players tell me this. I am in a clan and have been for a long time now so if I am attacked, I understand that I asked for these circumstances because I joined a clan and would have no right whatsoever to complain if I am attacked. I also do not take it personal if I am attacked. This is part of the path that I chose in FT. However, FT brings players from all over the world and from all walks of life. There are many players that wish for a PVM based environment and there are players that really enjoy PVP. I know that this is a PVP based game, but I believe everyone should be able to enjoy this game. I do not believe a change like this would ruin this game at all. I believe that there will always be clan wars based on the many personalities that I have met and seen while in the FT world. I thoroughly agree with Leone and many others that non clanned players should not be able to PVP. I also believe that players that have joined a clan should be able to PVP their hearts out. My clan does not attack unless we are attacked, and the only PVP that I engage in is when my fellow clan mates are attacked. Attacking another player is my least favorite part of this game, but fully necessary because I and my fellow members have joined a clan and that is the way that it is. We knew what we were getting into when we joined a clan. I can relate to my own experience when I first started playing FT and I was attacked by another player. I felt angry, violated, and disrespected having not read any info about this game. I just downloaded FT and jumped in head first. I remember feeling like giving up and quitting as I had no experience in PVP and felt I was being taken advantage of by players who obviously knew what they were doing. I remember thinking, "Shame on them!". I know that there are many players that have quit playing for this very reason and it is very sad. I believe that we ALL should be able to enjoy this great game that has occupied many hours, weeks, and months of my time as well as A LOT of my money  . This is only my opinion though, and I realize that there are many points of view from many players in this game. I respect everyones right to their own opinion. For every player in FT...enjoy this great game and live it. I know that I do. ;)

I understand that ryaca but being in a clan doesn't save u from becoming an outlaw. Repetetive wins makes u an outlaw regardless. Look how many clanned outlaws there are. What if I was to contradict all of this and suggest a rethink on outlaw status in general, taking away outlaw status so that just because people are good at what this game was made for they don't get punished for it and become subject to unfair scenarios where a 5k can Chase you around.

Let's not forget how broken some things are and already have been in the first place. Just a thought

Think about how many people become outlaw from killing someone higher lvl than they are. They are rewarded with losing safety entirely from way way higher lvls. Broken.

I did forget to mention the solid fact that there's only a few clans you could actually be a member of and PvP some one without jeopardizing your position in said clan. A lot of the games PvP is clanless.

I appreciate and respect your thoughts and feedback on this issue Darian. I still must stand by my position in my belief that non-clanned should not be able to PVP and that I believe that there should be a penalty for outlaws. I did not however know that I could become an outlaw for attacking an opposing clans members. I do appreciate your taking the time to generate different points of view on this topic. It helps keep the forums alive. ;)

Clan vs clan PvP kills do not result in outlaw status, except in cases where opponents de-clan during PvP to increase your outlaw count. Which should count as mechanics abuse imo. I think a player should not be able to drop clan during PvP, similar to not being able to change maps. Clanned outlaws are usually ppl who kill unclanned high lvls during a hunt, or while defending friends, unless gained said status before joining the clan.

I see everyone's point here. Me myself I think all should be able to PvP, cleaned or not. If outlaw did have a penalty, maybe lower % on drop chance, but still a chance. If outlawed multiple times maybe, extended outlaw status each time growing longer. I'm not much of a forum guy and not sure if I'm even posting correctly. But here is my opinion. Enjoy your day, holidays and the great FT MMO RPG!!!!

What about a bounty hunter scenario when it came to outlaws. There needs.to be some page a player can see his attackers in the game. Then a player could deposit a bounty on other players who've killed them. Like depositing clan gold. Outlaws then have a price on their head. This is similar in other games and adds a sense of purpose to killing outlaws(other than knowing they killed to become outlaw) revenge is sweet..

I've also had an opinion on drops for long time, maybe now is a good time to mention. Since monsters have 0.1% drop, maybe 25% drop from player is too high. Set drop to: 0.1-0.4% for equipment, 5% for item from bag, 10% for a % of gold
Just an opinion and idea I had about a year ago
