Yes, you have the good legs, and I am jealous.
My highest alt is MadMagus, a lowly level 313 right now lol.
I have faith in you. You will get to 2k

.
In response to the other posts. I definitely do not like the suggestion that long grass or swamps would give us a penalty to walking speed. There is a lot of maps with grass and no roads or paths to walk on and they are filled with bushes, trees, etc. These obstacles block my path continuously as I use the joystick.. We already move to slow enough as it is.

Haha thank you for your faith, but it will never happen, unless I were to "cheat".... that would be against the rules, and that's not my style.
Thing is, I don't really play. I tried to get back into the game, when I returned, but it just does not interest me.
No, I get a lot more satisfaction from being a GM, solving problems, and trying to help others enjoy the game more.

Yeah its kinda unfair that you gotta wait til lvl 2000 just to walk faster. Without boots I've watched so many new people quit before lvl 10 JUST because it's agonizing to walk. Even with boots with the +1 speed it's slow.
Idk why my character doesnt know how to run but I'd like to be able to move faster. Add a toggle between running and walking, if you must prevent combat when running I don't care. Just give us some way to move faster.
By that I mean EVERYONE. Not just a certain class. Not through some item that only high lvl can get. Not some potion only a few can use. Everyone needs to be able to move faster.

LIKE THE IDEAD BUT HAVE TO AGREE WITH HOBBS. ALTHOUGH MAYBE HAVE "PATHS" RENDERED INTO ENGINE FOR MOST TRAVELED AREAS SUCH AS "WORF'S TRAIL". JUST A THOUGHT.

I'm just glad that you are back and still part of the FT community.

Good point. Didn't think of that.
I agree with the general principle of moving faster on roads. This would make PvP tactics VERY interesting.
Failing that, more teleport portals (as has been suggested before) would be an acceptable alternative in my opinion.

Phoenix Down.
I really would like to see opinions on this now, as more changes are developed into FT.

There is one option not discussed
All boots seem to give just +1 walking speed until one gets 2k legs.
Make the boots give a plus to walking speed equal to 1% of the level of the boots, +1, rounded down to the nearest ½. Thus level 50-99 boots have +1.5, level 100-149 +2, etc
