My grandad told me about the rpg version back in 2012 - I deleted it but found it in my Google play store history and decided to reinstall the online version :)

I've played D&D (pencil and paper, not online) in all its forms since 1980.

My first MMORPG was Parallel Kingdom from early 2012 until November 2016, when it was closed down by the developers and the company PerBlue.

I and several other Parallel Kingdom players found FT in Google Play. I started playing FT in January 2017. I haven't looked back :D

Change is honestly what brought me here.

When I was younger (up to middle school) I was off and on playing games, usually it was a winter activity as any warm weather I was running wild outside. I had played Diablo 2 and some other rpg games for consoles but what really started it was when I met a friend during a summer program thst played a game called Runescape back in 2004.

That's the game I truly grew up on. I met a close friend soon after starting (was a friend of a friend, but idk why we just clicked and spent the next 8 or so years playing together. We're complete opposites so it always made for interesting gaming. You'd think we hated each other the way we talked lol.

Eventually some of my chill rubbed off on him, and my fuse was probably cut a little shorter by him but basically were still the same we were when we first met. We were a great team, able to tackle some of the hardest bosses in the game, some that only an elite few could take on with only 2 people yet we threw on our headsets and had some intense battles together.

The break was truly needed when the creators of the game sold out to a big gaming company, and the game that once meant so much to me went downhill very fast. It was my first experience with mtx in games, and I hated it. I made it through another year or so, but eventually the game I grew up on lost all of its luster and I needed a change. I'd almost reached my goal, but when the new game owners rolled out the ability to buy your way to the top through "gambling" it turned me off completely. They had promised all mtx would be cosmetic only, but of course that didn't last long.

That, and also the luck factor. I have horrendous luck when it comes with games in general. A 1/500 drop chance for something was literally (spent years proving it) 1/2000+ for me. But I was able to grind through it, and even as I do now gave my hard work away.

But anyway, eventually we both got burned out. The game changed too dramatically. I switched to a game called summoner war for a while, eventually the bs luck factor got me on that one as well. In a last ditch effort, I burned through my year of playing premium currency I had saved, and instead of getting the reported 1/50 chance for one of the elite summons, I got the junkiest one (literally, i already had 2 others that were better than that one but worse "grade") with an end chance of 1/312.

After that, I eventually stumbled upon FT. I almost quit after the first week though. I had chosen a white mage (thought it was a healer, I like playing that role) and after a week of running around trying not to die whilst grinding (no boots either) I was just about to give up. However I sucked up my pride and asked for help (I hate asking for help I'm stubborn) at spawn to get some boots. I forget who it was, but someone went and got me a pair of the level 0 boots and I was so happy. Same person also told me to try archer as a first class to really learn how to play on so I created this account.

I wish I could remember who it was and repay them for that first initial help, but ever since then I've been hooked. I finally started learning the game, and a few days later I met Crazylgs the Duke of Gotu. He walked by and saw my name, laughing as he was apparently eating some cashews right then and he added me to the clan and showed me around. The rest is history ;)

My first strategy game was chess. I have to say that that's where it all started. I grew up with pen and paper D+D and other games like Hero quest, Blood Bowl, WH40K and Warhammer Fantasy Battle. I also read (and still do) the Dragonlance series of books and choose your own adventure books by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone.

When we got a computer I enjoyed games like Monkey Island- by no means a RPG but you had to explore and solve things. I loved Gauntlet the arcade game as you got to play with three other people. From C64 /Amiga to consoles there was the zelda and Final Fantasy (particularly VII) that blew me away.

My favourite ever game has to be the Balders Gate series...just perfection. Then I played Ultima Online which reminded me of D+D as of course I was playing with and against real people.

That's a big thing for me . The FT rpg is the original game but there is no interaction with others. That's why I will always prefer MMO games.

A little off topic, but hey, this is the off topic forum

A player asked me how I came up with the name MadMikael

In truth, this is a combination of game names I've used in the past.
It is uncommon, but not unique; others use it on other games; so don't assume if you see the name in another game that it's me.
Mikael: Show
Mikael is just a shorter, medieval sounding name of my name, Michael.
This I used first on the SNES, in a game called Eye of the Beholder, a D&D game not for the feint of heart. Mapping is suggested, almost required.
Like so many games of its era, the name was limited to 6 characters. Creating a character with my name was not possible.
So, I comprimised with Mikael.
MADMAN: Show
Madman was a nickname I picked up on the SNES as well, given to me by my best friend.
We were playing Top Gear, a racing game, that was quite good for it's time. It was rented, btw.
In that game, there were 4 cars to choose from. I had chosen the fast, gas guzzling red one.
We had played many times before, so I was experienced enough to handle it.
I had saved all 3 of my nitros for the final lap.
My friend was in the lead, I was a few spots behind.
I hit the final lap, and started a nitro using frenzy.
I blew past everyone, in a great burst of speed.
Shocked, he exclaimed "Wow, you just blew past like a madman!".
The next game we started, soon afterwards, I used the name MADMAN.
The nick stuck, and I went on to use it for years in many games.
Unfortunately, a very common nick, and never usually available in online games.
MadMikael: Show
I'm pretty sure I first used this for FT actually.
My name (and variations) were already taken and not available.
Madman was not available also.
So, MadMikael was created, as my first account.
This was originally the swordsman, now dubbed MadMartigan.
At the time, names were allowed to be longer, so that's how I got it.

I think il share my FT Story here.. But without many details..

Hmm, Im not sure what brought me to FT, maybe my thirst of MMORPG games :)

I dont remember when I started FT, might be 3 years or so.

For long time, I hadnt forum acc, was playing with some kinda NICKPAN accs that got deleted now, I dont know why.. maybe cuz had a year to log em, or maybe they still alive but I dont know nickname. They havent Email added so cant take em back tho..

I stopped and started ft several times..
For many reasons.
I only remember that one time I left ft cuz All clan buildings at first clan map, was Killing u, even if u unclanned, on sight. xd

I still remember the fun moments that GMs was spawnning Monsters to help us lvl up fast, at archer field, and other places.

Mostly ADIK and Roultz helped me to lvl up..

My first clan was AD.
They were so good clan, also was funny fighting Link and magix..but later magix asked me to join link, I rejected but we were kinda friends. Then, I was rly happy when I got my first skin, from Dr.Doom .

I created MEGA, and tried to build several times but was dying by Link and some bullers.

Time passed,

Isoril mike and stiche helped me build in MEGA, near AD base, Asmodeous (old Isoril) is the one who learn me the Basics of PvP, and some Tricks on PvP, he was training me for something bigger tho..

Link fall, Magix stop. We had Peace for sometime.. but..

DR betrayed me, I never understood the real reason they destroyed our base.
Then I team up with Rash, to kill DR.
Rash sold from 2,2 clan map, when Island came. They built there with us, Then we built there, I was in rash for sometime,
Mega died from trio, we gone back to 2,2 and built a base there after a long time

Then I met ftss jm termy, became friends, rly good guys,
We were fighting trio, and then both trio and dr.
We had a strong base with ADIK and FTSS,time passed..

After alot of things happened, I stopped ft, gave MEGA to someone else to keep it alive.

When I came back, I was happy to assisting GM more often, Im still doing it, But tho I needed again a clan to stay, craft, build.
I created OVER.

and things we know today are happening...

Also I want to add, that all that time, and still now, Bence and Ike were with me. My friends.

There was malval too but my opinion is he choosed the wrong way..

Feel free if u want me to correct me somewhere, or ask Any question or share anything with my Story ;)
