Mercenary Quest Rewards

I did a mission I had to pay 1b I did not win neither xp nor items, it's difficult

I paid 50m and now on 800 knights

dues go up each time it seems. mercenary missions give lvls, not individual xp and sometimes an item (probably a chance to get an item)

Somewhat related question, but has anyone reached "the end" of these? No need to say how far it is, if it has happened. I hear people talk about it like a "daily" quest, and once you turn it in you do have to wait until the new day (FT time) to get another one, but do things just keep adding on for as long as you want to keep doing them?

I am doing these daily. And it seems there is a new quests daily. But they ask more and more gold to continue..
I killed 600 blue devils today..
Let's see what tomorrow has in store. And yes from time to time nice rewards. I got 350 enchanted mage Ring few days back and i got gloves of soul 500 lvl today after 600 blue devils.

I suppose only time will tell if someone eventually kills 20,000 level 2k monsters or whatevet and the npc says "you know what, I think we're done now!"
