Limited stat reset is a horrible idea. Why should it be limited? Its not like you can do it for free. It cost 1 LVL every time.

I'm pretty much with mike here, except for one thing... it used to be a one-shot deal. you could reset stats one time only, which I think would be perfect, but when game mechanics change, it seems kinda unfair. creator/admins/mods must have felt that way too, because they were resetting that quest manually to allow people to reset, which became (as I understand it) a LOT of work... doing it the way it is now allows for changes to game without really hurting anybody

I guess you missed the point I was making.
Why is it a horrible idea to limit stat reset to once every 30 days.......there was a time when u could only reset stats once. The unlimited stat reset was introduced when the game mechnacis was changed to help players find a good new stat balance. Then amended to 1 lvl cost but stil unlimited.

Unlimited stat reset causes game imbalances. It can allow certain players to dominate aspects of the game that they otherwise would not be able to do. Then when the player is finished causing havoc he just resets his stats and goes on his merry way. A L 2000+ player that is already at an advantage now can have a greater advantage.

Anyway that's my 2 dollars worth.

Of coure another solution is to limit how many points mages can add to armor to 25% of total points and 35% for archers and 50% for melee classes

Limitw are designed to provide balance.....without some limits the game becomes unbalanced andnplayers quit because of it.

Yes I am not attacking magix here. Just using him as example to illustrate my position on unlimited resets. Though he does frustrate me sometimes and I wouldn't mind seeing him get run over by a herd of mad bulls. :-)

I am not against stat resets especially for lower lvl players. A once daily reset is a good idea for lower lvl players till they get the hang of it. But I realy believe that once a higher lvl is reached like L 500 stat reset should not be allowed.

I'd love a percentage to reset... let's say 25% as an example.. you talk to reset mage, lose 1 , then 25% of the points in each stat are removed and put into your pool... you could fine tune your character this way, but not change him into a completely different character (unless Giving many levels)
