I think the choices between making a PvP/PvM clan would be a fantastic idea to implement, that way, non-PvPing players can enjoy the social aspects of clans and not just be told, "It's for PvP only, stop whining and leave it." Although, I could see a potential of abuse from PvPers to take advantage of the PvM clan function, but making it whereas you cannot target or engage another player whatsoever while in the clan would solve this.
