I'm a BlackBerry user by nature. I'm a loyalist, and will use their products to the end (even if it is soon). I came across this game last year on my birthday (August 31st). In BlackBerry's app store, there are a few cool games, but nothing like FT. I decided to give it a try on my tablet (BlackBerry Playbook). My first character was a knight named Barkevious. I played with him for a month or so and got him to a decent level. I noticed the Mages and Archers were having more fun. I created my mage account. I decided on the name after looking on Wikipedia for names of historic wizards/witches/warlock characters. The Merlins, Gandalfs, other famous names were all being used and a rather obvious choice. I live in the US but half of my family has Eastern European ancestry from the Slovakia/Czech Republic area. I saw one photo of Baba Yaga, the witch and that best captured what I wanted.
My first clan was one I created myself called BAYA. After getting slaughtered at Archers a few times I got smart and lvl'd myself to over 100 pretty quickly. Along the way I met some great players. I am horrible with names but there was a player that was so awesome, he/she helped me with the siege quest without asking for a thing in return. He/she was over lvl 200 at the time which, to me, was a god. I wish I could remember his/her name as they helped me right outside of 100 gold city and explained to me the best way to advance lvls in the game. If that player is reading this, and remembers me, thank you, you showed me how cool it could be to be a higher level and help newer players out.
I started chatting with Secular and Roultazar (both of whom were in AHOU at the time) at Archers and when I was at a decent enough lvl, I was asked to join. I felt both honored and excited. I accepted and found myself going out of my way to help out clan members doing anything I could. This involved raising gold, hunting enemy clans, getting gear, etc. I proved my loyalty quickly and I was quickly promoted to Marshal, and subsequently Lord.
I've been a Lord in AHOU since around October/November of last year. In that time I have seen the rise and fall of my clan. We have once again risen from the ashes and made our name strong again. I take great pride in staying with AHOU although there were times I was tired of it and wanted to quit. I have Grindix, KROMS (the original) and Dubledore to thank for asking me to stay. I'm glad I did. Our Duke is now Grindix, and he is a superb choice for our leader. While we don't have a ranking of our Lords, I am the most senior and like to think I've helped carry the torch for AHOU and ushered in a new era for our clan.
I appreciate all of the hard work being done on the game. I love it, and have downloaded it on my phone (yes a BlackBerry) and my desktop. Its become my go-to. In fact, my 5-year old son enjoyed watching me play so much, that I made him a mage to play on. He mainly walks around and dies, but he loves playing "the sword game" (he named it that because of the login screen) with his daddy.
I've had some great time with old and newer players on this game. And while the past is the past and is to be respected, never forget that THESE are the good old days...

Ok, guess it's my turn
I started playing the rpg a long time ago (truly don't remember when) I played through the little bit that was there pretty quickly, and realized I really liked the premise of the game, and wondered where it was going... created blitzcraig in mmo and got up to about level 70 or so without really talking to anybody very much. (Level 70 was actually an ok level back then... not feared or anything, but not considered a noob either) I decided to get involved to the social aspect of the game, so joined xXx clan. Realized very quickly this was a terrible mistake... the duke (corpses) took a break from the game soon after I joined, so all alliances fell apart and I was killed constantly. I realized that mages were undoubtedly the strongest (even at low levels back then) So decided to make an archer because I generally like a challenge
leveled GoodHood up to 100 just in time for Santa's gifts and spawn parties with the "new" monsters and was one of the first to have a swamp bow... all this time I spent much more time on forum and doing math and tests to try to help build the game. FT hit a kinda low spot, and most players were getting frustrated with the game (no new content in a long time, one or two SUPER high level players bullying everybody and kinda ruining the game etc...) and I almost quit playing. Thankfully, Azok and Secular talked me out if it (though they don't remember it LOL) I decided to give it another shot, and created Silverwood. I walked around as a level 5 or so playing a role... I asked if anybody had seen my father, Lord Silverwood. Players I came in contact with filled in a whole story about how I had been overseas and my father was killed by the black knights from the snowy wasteland to the south... i actually was writing the story on the forum as it grew (including players who helped me with my quest to avenge my father. It was cool that all the "big" players would take time to help him.. then on my birthday, I was asked if I was interested in becoming a mod
I was, and did. This took a lot of time, plus I was working on new maps at the time, so Silverwood pretty much ended
... I did allow another player to try to resurrect that storyline, but by then new maps had come out and nobody was really interested... I've got him back, and you may see him occasionally
... anyway, we're finishing up testing on my second set of maps (creator did lots of work on the actual maps this time) and there is a very good (IMO) story of quests that go along with them
