That would be interesting. I might run some spreadsheet #s on that. It wouldn't make a "huge" difference, but would be something. of course I'm thinking in terms of the RPG which.

even at 187 level I guess my mage is doing around 700 per cast green flow, fighting a "near peer" monster such as Dino or Freya where dex is in the 170-200 range (my characters all have 201 except the mage) it would be about 20% reduction in damage per cast. Only something like blitzbees over 500 would really get a good advantage...but at the same time those are hard to kill already due to only 9% ToHit chance.

Dex is already the most important stat IMO based on the combat system, applying Dex to spell damage would make it even more important. I've been wondering if anyone considered increasing from a random of -5/5 up to -10/10. it would increase the span of what outcomes gave you a Hit which ARM came into play maybe 10,9,8,7 still bypass ARM automatically (both mobs and player) making ARM a little more important.

yeah, I actually pushed for a % based range (higher dex means bigger range) but nothing ever happened with it..

I think this is a fantastic idea and hope it is part of the plan for the September update.

To clarify...I mean dex should affect the likelihood of being hit by spells during pvp.

I don't believe that will happen tbh... but I've been wrong before lol... I think best we hope for is reducing damage

it would be incentive for mages to put points into Dex (right now Ive got a 187th with only 24 - because what's the point, except for defense purposes), especially if it followed same rule as to_hit. However to be fair, sword/ax/club/bow never "runout" and mana does, so if mage had to have same or higher Dex as mob(or pvp) in order to do damage, and mana would be lower since they'd have to put points into Dex...suddenly mage sux.

well said.. another bonus to flow spell always hitting is is helps with variety between classes (it just needs a limiting factor is some sort imo ;) )

yeh to prevent hitting more with autoclicker.

but i think he means a limit on dmg. or maybe like a max of 3 -5 targets.

I'm mostly referring to damage being reduced by enemy dex in pvm as it is in pvp... and I'll briefly explain why - I've been allowed to have a lot of input on the stats of several monsters (and currently working on a few more) and here's what I run in to... no matter what stats I look at, mage is always the best against any monster type... for example - blitzbee or pharaoh spider are good for sword, but bad for everybody else... except mage is best against them - - death is best for archer... except for mage - - many are best for grinding with dwarf... except for mage is still best (see the problem here?) there is no way to limit a mage's power against monsters right now. if damage from flow spell was reduced by dex, suddenly the whole pvm game becomes much, much more balanced
