If you want to make the game better fix bug instead of creating problems. I have played for two plus years and it started out GM built new bridge at spawn, then three bridges. Then a private island. Now a fake shop? Hats not an update or addition just graphics. The fact is GM should have a so called boss. Some where you forgot you only job is to ensure game is playing and people are obeying rules. I can list six bugs that are critical and costing you money. Why don't you make yourself useful and figure them out. If not I will share when back from holidays.
This never was a bug, and it's gotten quite off topic.
I've moved it here to Off-Topic, where the rules are more lax and opinions are more welcomed.
I do agree with your comment - you don't understand.
What function does it serve? To entertain, to provide something new, to invoke curiosity and exploration. Also, to test for upcoming things - to see what works, what doesn't, and what players will do when they see it. It is quite common for any business - not just games - to test their market to see what their consumers want. Since most players do not get on the forum or facebook to contribute ideas, this sort of testing can provide answers we'd otherwise not get.
I'm confused about your statements - you admit that you know I can't code... but you tell me (or GM) to fix bugs? Maybe I missed something...
As for the additions on start map - just because you can't grasp the purpose, doesn't mean there isn't one. You jump to conclusions based on a narrow point of view, and limited information. If you were to pose polite questions, you'd likely get answers to nearly everything you wish. Secrets excluded. Just keep in mind, if you have lots of questions, or ones that require lengthy answers, in game is usually never the best place to ask.
The GM should have a so called boss - wow, nice statement. As detailed in the Staff Rules, we do. Check it out sometime. It's found in General Information - very close to the game and forum rules, which you may wish to read as well.
Ah, you know my job I take it, and the extent of it. Funny how so many players think they know what my job is. When they haven't a clue. Some where you forgot you only job is to ensure game is playing and people are obeying rules.
I have said many times "A GMs job is to supervise the game and enforce the rules"... yes. But that is only our main function, not an absolute limitation to what we do. We do many other things as we wish to get involved... including helping players, testing, and entertaining if we wish... and that's still not the full limit.First - I'm not paid, so I'm not losing money.I can list six bugs that are critical and costing you money. Why don't you make yourself useful and figure them out. If not I will share when back from holidays.
But your statement here worries me.
6 critical bugs - yet... you've not reported them, and you will eventually...
Included with a mild personal insult of "why don't you make yourself useful"... well, I'll let another GM react to that one, as I'm involved directly here.
I would simply retort the same to you - why don't you make yourself useful, and report them? Or learn to code and fix them yourself?
I think, your words here demonstrate what kind of person you could be. Also, I think there may be reason to look into your accounts - and see what bugs you're abusing. But that's up to another GM if they're interested.
I keep approving your posts, as I want to hear your opinions, and have them seen by all.
You will prove my points, time and again.
I have patience.
Ok you approve my post let's read them.
One I said I know you don't get paid.
Two I report all bugs when I have time as said when return from holiday. This is not my job nor responsibility to fix this game.
Three this seems more like you need to prove you have power more then anything.
Four go ahead watch me I play most days and I do not need to cheat to win. Unlike you I do have a master's in computer science and understand how the game operates.
Five : you say you keep appoving so you can hear my opinion seems more like you want to just fight.instead of closing after problem solved you moved to keep fighting.
So what would you like to pointless argue about now?
