And I have alts with 2 ice monsters and others with the war dog and grey troll and I still do not like this idea.
But that's just me.
When I walk with the D-Pad, my pets follow, they do not attack.
Also I have never considered it an inconvenience to reposition them if I have to log off for a minute or two.
But, again, that's just me.

I do not make typos, the keys move around on my keyboard to confuse me.
