Re: Please take away stat redos
a few comments.
roleplaying is still very much possible in ft.
you do it with how you act, how you talk, the priorities you set etc.
look at GOLGREN.thats roleplay.
imo ft has far to few stats and gear to realy roleplay using these. its not like there are skill trees an thousands of types of gear which can be used to make a character unique. all lv 500mages will use the same gear.
in fact changing stats is about the only way to make nyour character different from others, or at least keep them guessing about your strengths, and weaknesses.
it also gives you some strategic options. do you set your stats (dex) to maximise damage against your favorite monster and accept bad pvp stats? or set them to combat mages while being vulnarable to archers?
and lastly. ft is already pay to win enough. another player just. bought his way to lvl 10k+. dont give rich players even more advantages. a small fee in the usa might be a days wages in a developing country.

Yes, GOLGREN is a good example of a player role playing the character, as is Silverwood. I know of one other, but won't name the name because I know that the player keeps that one somewhat of a secret as to who owns it.
There are probably a couple others, but those are the only three that I can think of off hand... Anyway, I'm not saying you cannot role-play, just that the vast majority do not. Outside of that, I'd just like to agree with Rearrow and Ryaca's last comments about $$

Re: Please take away stat redos
Forgive my ignorance as I am very new to the game, but since we are on the topic of stat redos, I was under the impression that to reset your stats also reset all of your levels since it takes away all of your experience. Is this not accurate to the way that the wording in game is described? If a player does a stat redo they are set back to 0 exp and therefore just have a longer wait before their next level gain after the reset? Please consider I am only level 10 and of no threat in PvP... at the moment
Thanks for the info in advance.

The best time to reset your stats is right after you level up.Tarlin wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2018 6:08 pm Forgive my ignorance as I am very new to the game, but since we are on the topic of stat redos, I was under the impression that to reset your stats also reset all of your levels since it takes away all of your experience. The xp you lose is the partial level; you do not lose any complete levels.
When you level up, your level goes up by one, and your xp goes to 0/??? where ??? is a slightly bigger number than the last level (true until you get really high level).
If you killed a wolf on the start map, you'd have 1/??? xp
Resetting your stats at this point, you would lose that 1 xp, but your levels would not be touched.
I hope this is clear.
Any more questions, the forum is the best place to ask

There really needs to be a +1 button on the forums so people can show their appreciation to a reply without having to take up space with a full post. Thank you again for your response Mad, you are a wealth of information and it is very appreciated.

Re: Please take away stat redos
Stat reset should not be allowed after say lvl100, by this time a player should know the way the game mechanics work.
Problem solved.

IMO there isn't a problem to solve.
If you want to play your character "old school" with no stat redo, fine, but why should everyone else have to do so?
