I agree with you moonraker... or testing could be done in Colosseum maybe.... at any rate, it's a great issue for players to voice your opinions on for sure

Allies by the very term means they don't/cant attack each other or buildings.... otherwise there is no point to being ally.
giving up "testing pvp" is a small price to pay for clan security.
unforunately there are traitors if i find a traitor in ally clan i need to be able to kill him so he wont compromise my own clan and allies security.
i could for instance try to prevent him selling buildings, stealing from towers or trying to start a war.
raw hardly ever invites new members, and certainly no new unknown players. but allies might.
i would of course message allies about this

unforunately there are traitors if i find a traitor in ally clan i need to be able to kill him so he wont compromise my own clan and allies security.
Now how can killing a so called traitor in an ally clan be considered useful...... if you find a traitor in an ally clan then you talk to the duke of that clan and come to a resolution otherwise remove that clan from your ally list... that's all. my opinion...
oh wait I get it.. you want to be able to punish former members of your clan that caused injury that end up in ally clans...... me response .. so then u don't care if allied clans do the same to your members that feel they are traitors?..... so then why have allies at all to begin with just leave it as is... since your still want to be able to attk allies... the system now is perfect.

nah if some former traitor gets in an ally clan that duke will kick him, or alliance will be terminated. you should be very close who you allie too.
what imean is that if u see a spy in an ally starting a war or selling buildings you cant do anything. they tipically wait until the duke and(other) lords are asleep.
this is not a theoretical situation btw. its happened.
and its a real risk with all the sharing/trading/selling going on.
if one ofmy lords was to sell our castles, i sure would want our allies to kill him.
if iplan to sell, I inform my allies about it before.
and core raw members dont leave that often, and if they do we often keep helping them, even if they join other clans. for some other clans are just more suitable. only if they would join an enemy they would be hunted instead.

I set up the desighns already all that needs to be added to what I have is the rules and exceptions and how it works then add it to the game. The idea I had in mind when I was desighning this is, the duke of clan A must face the duke of clan B on the same map as how you would send a friends request. Only the duke can send a FCL request then you can rank the clan in your list if you rank clan B as a priority clan witch means a high alliance witch will allow this clan to inter your clan gates, they can not attack your clan buildings or members if you want pvp ask a friend to bring a alt or go find an enemy to test on. The priority clan can repair your buildings they can't upgrade or sell they can not see inventory of your buildings they are only provided the safety of your walls and towers witch leads to the tower attack mode. If a enemy clan attacks an ally clan your towers will attack the enemy within range to allow the ally to safety. Marshals or members have no authority over allies lords can promote the clan from allied to priority or from priority to allies, lords can not remove the clans from the FCL its the duty of the duke to operate the addition or removal of allies. There would be an issue with the /ac chat because it could break conversations with your clan if you want to inform your ally tap on the allied clan you wish to inform something and the duke and lords will receive the pm. If you remove the clan from your FCL the removed clan will receive a notification on screen as you see when your building is under attack or friends request sent etc. Compbadant if you would like me to send you the desighns I sent to gandalf please pm me your email or gmail I can't seem to upload them on the forum.

very good post - almost exactly how I think it should work also
(I was calling it ally / neutral / enemy instead, but same basic idea) - I like your suggestion of how each rank would work, too... my only question is this - is this best, or would one additional rank in clan make it better?
