Fair call. You didn't say anything on it.
compbatant wrote:This info came from moderators I think. I never denied it and also never confirm it.
So if you knew moderators etc were saying this, why not correct it with the rest of the player base and clarify this? Theres ample time. Its been a topic for going on 3 months now. Neither confirming nor denying something doesnt exactly help. It actually causes problems because then people dont know whata going on and those in our trusted mod/admin positions will be believed, even if lets say a monster for example that shot rainbows and had a unicorns horn was going to be added in 2 weeks.

Their the only ones so far that we can receive information off. As we understand. Or understood it to be. In the chain of "knowingness" it was... You (because your the creator) then the admins who apprently do have contact with you. Then the mods who have have better contact with the admins and are more privy to information, then the playerbase.

So by neither confirming it or denying it while allowing admins/mods (whoever was speaking this september thing) to say such without intervention then to us (the playerbase) confirms an update or misleads us to believe there will be an update.
compbatant wrote: I never plan upcoming changes.
Planning is an essential thing in an mmo, chaos doesn't work longterm. WoW for instance wouldnt have survived. Neither would ultima or whatever that Aion game i meant to play but didnt.
compbatant wrote:If I had idea I just working on it. I am working when i have vein. If i want to have schedule I would work in corporation not on my own.

Working on an idea is great. Dont get me wrong progression is always good as i see it. We understand your the only one whos coding etc. Others have put their hands up to help but i get why you may not neccessarily want to accept.

Coorperations (this makes me sick to admit) have plenty of admirable qualities. Such as a schedule, a deadline and producing a finished product (mostly). They have blunders, they have successes, they work to a deadling. You cant do that as one person fair enough, and your probably pretty busy, also fair enough.

But drop a line every so often. Even if its like once a week on whatever it is your doing. Even if its just having a coffee break because your out of ideas for the time being. Theres been plenty of ideas on the forums and while you might not impliment them exactly as written theres still a wealth of something to pull from that sub forum.
compbatant wrote:There are periods when I am working from morning till late night forgetting about eating and other essential things and there are periods when I need to regenerate.
I live on 2minute noodles aswell, the struggle is real. I eat when im driving. I got really good at driving and changing gears in stop/go traffic while i use my usb car charger to boil a small jug ive superglued to my dash board to make my noodles in and then eat before im at work. - this isnt a dig this knowledge passed down by a friend and what he use to do.

compbatant wrote:Recently I had many things (not too nice) which i need to finish in my private life and don't have too much time to work and reading these posts with demands only annoys me.
Yeah stuff happens. I hope whatever it is eventually comes right, we all get the bit of bad news or have to deal with something painful.

The demanding posts though only come from people being in the dark. From not hearing anything about anything thats going on. We all know you do work. We just dont know where when or truly on what. A good idea could be to start a locked subforum where only you and admins, possibly mods could post to promote a bit of transparency in what it is thats going on. Again even if its just a coffee break. People will then "see" that theres cogs turning.

compbatant wrote:If you calm down you will get changes which improve gameplay. Just wait for it.
I dont know about others. But that line makes me cringe a bit. The wait has been long. The numerous posts on pvp have been huge. I know you say wait. But this has already all boiled over once. It will do so again.

compbatant wrote:The pots you send instead of motivating me they work totally vice versa for me.
Not being too horrible when i say this. But those inapp purchases would motivate me and thats just monetary. Shouldnt the love of creating a game also be a motivator along with seeing these demotivating posts about peoples experiences and thinking "I cant please everyoje but damn I want to change their minds and try to make their experiences with X issue better" ...?
compbatant wrote:Remember also that there is no wonderful formula which will make everybody happy. The formulas were already changed and adjusted few times during game life. Don't forget about it. Every time the formulas become more balanced there were angry players because their overpowered characters became weaker.
Sometimes minor nerfs are required when other classes cant be buffed to meet the insanity of power. No one thing will make everyone happy. But justice or a court system doesnt make everyone happy either. The most anyone can do is try to do as much right as they can. If you think people are saying otherwise, ask them "what am i doing wrong. What havent i fixed that i should get onto?" If you were asking me this for instance i would say pvp. So would a few others. Theres no such thing as perfect balance but 'near enough' would make most happy and do them all a little justice.

Soon I will add to few high level armors and shields some protection against spells which should help in PVP.
Woot.

I have an idea that could help with pvp lots, every player is of some element and whatever element they are, it can be effective against a kind of element but also ineffective against one. would give pvp a cool twist. Armor could give added bonuses. There is some more things I would like to add, but cannot remember all of it right now.

Small edit.
say you are a lvl 500 fire elemental mage, you are going to be effective against players that are burnable, like grass elemental. But say you run into a lvl 350 water elemental archer. even if you are that 150 lvls higher, he can still beat you quite easy because water elemental damage would be effective against fire elementals

That is way too complicated bud... How much programming would that entail and how big and slower would the game BECOME....

No balance no Cleo

It was nice game while it lasted but I'm moving on to other games (not just me I'm many and many more to come)

To spend money and time into FT like I used to seems pointless now sry ;)

I'll be active enough to keep Trek alive and maybe holidays.

FT just doesn't peek my interest like it used to...if there's balance in the future maybe I'll come back activity...maybe ^_~

Moonraker, its just a idea to twist PvP. I've seen other game with this concept and it does work nice.

So if you do check this thread again comp take note of the last few posts. Its not just these few that are after pvp balance. Pvp balance is talked on on a daily basis. After hearing itl possibly be updated in september thats all anyone really talked about.

Its all i saw in some of the more private facebook groups im in. Its all i heard about when i logged in some days. Its one of the few things people are sorely after. I dont know what your priorities are. I dont know how it is you work since I and a lot of people dont know you too well over and above "your the creator"

But if this is what people are almost unified in seeing to the point the "not a penny more" thread was created. Shouldnt that be a clear indication of what to work on at least?

Before its said sure there isnt a magical formula to make 100% balance but again 'near enough' is good. Knives were a good addition but there needs to be more.

Indepenant skills on each class. The mana damage to dex ratio. Tweaking how much damage strength does. Tweaking attack speeds on all the classes to bring it closer to the mages spells per sec.

That would at least be a start of what to look at. Clan alliance systems, i get that that one isnt straight forward at all. No worries there. But at least show us that some effort to try and make it all work is happening?

Because from what i have seen youve lost a few lvl buyers because of this. Others still play and dont buy levels and the non level buyers are also dissapearing. What i dont think is understood that if this type of problem is left as new people make their way onto the forums theyl see these posts dating so far back and see the same system in place.

Theyl end up by leaving too. It will all slowly and painfully implode. You are one man, you do all the coding so your time and effort is a precious commodity. Spend it well, you dont need to have schedules and deadlines but a general direction in where your going would help a lot.

Youd see a lot less negative posts too. On that topic, the collective negative posts on a topic could also serve to show perhaps what area needs to be looked at more?

See, in these posts of mine creator. Im not trying to crusify you, nor put you on trial for anything. Im not shredding your post with the intent to just create chaos.

I believe some of these things are things you need to hear. Because of peoples attitudes when you do make an apperance the whole vibe seems to change to mushy happiness or whatever anyone wants to call it.

Thats not going to help what needs to happen. I imagine at some point im going to get my behind kicked off the forums so ill get it out now while i can.

You need more transparency. Such as a subforum of what your currently working on just for people to view and see that progression is happening.

If ideas arent being taken from the suggestions forum. Or if suggestion posts (the good ones i mean. Not the ones that say "Lets create OP class" or "Things must be fairer" etc) if they arent going to be used or anything generally from there isnt even going to be considered. Might aswell scrap the entire suggestions forum. Its a waste of time if nothing from it will ever be taken.

I respect the fact you like to work on ideas you have. However how much communication do you have with your admin team and mods? Im only asking since that september update thing went on for as long as it did. Their some of your best people to talk to. They receive all our PM's and have the ability to weed out the whining from thr good stuff.

Its really sucks to see people leave due to fixes that needed to take place. But also good to see them being open to the possibility of returning of it does happen. Some of these people have been key level buyers. Others have just been great gamers.

Whatever it is you do decide to do, understand we all care equally for the game we play. That weve invested significant amounts of time playing it. As you have coding it.

But also understand that you have a very real chance of killing your own game off by lack of communication between you/admins/mods/playerbase. Also by lack of updates that people are needing to make the game more playable. To make pvp more playable. To return clans back to being playable aswell as Clan vs Clan being more than just roflstomping new buildings and mindless pvp till someone gets bored.

New maps are great. New items and gear and monsters are also awesome too. Its really enjoyable. But simply making more stuff cant fix previous issues or hide them from view. The game world is already huge with the potential to spill out onto a second map. But before all that happens. Before more creation happens... Could the fixing process begin first?

Couldn't have been said any better Iso, and I hope that your points are taken constructively.

I know eventually everyone slows their play (including myself) for various reasons.

I'd really hate to see this game die (players included) when it still has so much potential.

Exactly that TC, the game has so much potential to evolve into far more than what it is now. It would be a shame that people become slowly frustrated with it and stop playing. Or that the new generation only see the negative posts on significant issues and then feel not much has been done on it. In one case, pvp between classes. In a not so pressing case, clan alliance systems.

Im sure theres other things too. Items for instance need to catch up for melee and archers aswell to help balance them out. Maybe a few more undroppables for both since the mages dark robe, diamond robe and 200 robe isnt droppable?

Clan repairs aswell are still a bit too easy. Why not add in a bit of materials required too? Again just a few ideas. Not saying its a magical fix. But potentials there to do anything with this game after issues are sorted.
