I agree Archer sux at spawn parties so what is the solution .....have other accs..... I never use my 3 archers for parties only my mage..... I dont use my ogre or my swordsman either...... I use these as specialty for other tasks...... instead of complaining..... think globally... Once upon a time archer was good at parties then somebody complained and drops were changed from last hit to most damage... now the complaining continues.... yes the archer targeting sux... it would be nice to allow the archer to select target.... mellee and archers at the bottom of the range of the portals cant even enter without dying in seconds. why?
because mages are spawning huge masses who swamp and kill the entering low lvls.
Who bennefits from big masses of monsters. not mellee. not archers. only.mages who can kill many with green flow and heal if they get red or yellow.
a mellee or archer who get caught between 8 just dies.
dungeons are small. many spawningpoints. no safe heavens.
I say these dungeons are designed to give drops to mages.

just to be clear, big spawns like that work best for sword, not mages... in fact, they're even better for archer than for mage - archer can stay on outside shooting fire arrows in there... 30% will often be enough to get the drop if 3 mages are using green flow on the whole group

(compbatant made the actual layout if I remember right, Gandalf set the special spawns, I made the multiple maps that separate by level and put in the regular red, white, and blue monsters... none of us deserve to be insulted over it.)

as far as map improvements go, here are some things I've seen:
1> see if it's possible to not lose xp when you die in holiday portal maps
2> many monsters have already been adjusted... what else would help here? (be sure to include which Map)
3> no monsters by entrance.. too many are spawned by walking around by the portal, that should be "safe zone"

Since the droprate is a lot lower from what i can see in the high portal. Why not something like 2 more of each enemy that has a drop?

really i can get a new char to 200 in 2-3 months part time..... the choice is yours just dont make those of us that play and actually lvl up instead of socialise pay for your gamestyle of play. I see the droprate has already gone down prob from your complaining congratulations.... If u cant beat em screw em.... thats ur motto... in a dungeon archers get surrounded quickly. swords too. he cant run away there evwrywhere monsters surrounding them and firing at them. its good for mages because they can heal.archers or swords have to leave.
mages run behind the archer. archer gets trapped.
on a map like silverwood map.its different. there archers can indeed circle to get xp. but not drops.
xp is unimportant in these dungeon events. u can get mych faster xp just grinding in the right place. its the items u can not get normally u want.
im.not saying that u guys thought "lets give mages lots of extra items" but you cant be saying none of u realised that tbe mages would get 80% of the special drops. still u decided to put in this dungeon and not wait until.the famous september. fact is rare items are now suddely free in bulk to mages. and gm team is the one who did that.i cant blame the mages for getting them. but i can blame the team for making it possible.
theteam choose to do this event knowing that it would mostly benefit mages which they knew were overpowered already. it knew tbat it would put non mages at abigger disadvantage. already some are offering the items for lvls. others fir lots of gold.
mages will be rich and higher lvl. otbers poor and lower.
all this was known to gm team , u guys are not stupid.
