Melee Auto Target

Hi, all!
I've spent a little time playing each of the classes and I feel there is an imbalance in them. I don't think speed WS the only issue that make archers and mages the top played characters in the game.
Archers and mages have a much easier time of targeting opponents. Either monsters, NPCs or PCs. As you all know, they can target, stick, attack and move much faster then any of the melee classes and have a great advantage in combat.
I would like to propose a big change for melee. When you hit the big auto attack button I'd like to see the character move to the nearest opponent and start attacking. This would save a lot of frustration and fumbling for melee characters. I'm sure you've had the same problem, especially with lag not always putting you truly next to your opponent. Sometimes you can be centimeters away and be able to strike. Hitting the small pop up attack button is (forgive the pun) hit and miss, at best.
Let's level the playing field for the melee inclined! As always, I'm totally open to criticism and debate.
Thanks,
Wyborn
