Re: KORIA PERM JAIL???
I agree with your sentiment here... but if we're going with "real life" analogies then yes, pretty much everybody in FT should be max punished for murder... many many murders.
Or, we can recognize that FT is not real life, and so our analogies must be scaled appropriately. In this case, Sharing accounts and using 3rd party software are amongst the most serious breeches of rules, and therefore deserve the strictest punishments. Lesser violations deserve lesser punishments. For example, inappropriate language is temp muted, longer each time, until eventually perm mute after repeated violations.

Agree with you!death911 wrote: Mon Jun 11, 2018 4:38 pm Just a simple question ..
Let say a student goes to school or college...
He does any offence...
What do you think the school should do?
option A) Give him detention, teach him his mistake and give him a chance to reform?
Option B) Permanently rusticate him from school for 1st time mistake itself?
Those who opt for option B are called Authoritarian. If school started Rusticating students for all 1st time offenders then the students won't respect the teachers and the authorities anymore. Yes they would just Say "hello or hi" out of fear just to avoid trouble but that won't be out of respect.
If authorities tries socialise then that " hello or hi" will be said out of respect.
Yes if the Student does any criminal offence of serious kind then yes that deserves severely punished even to be rusticated from college.. i do support that..
i just am saying that authorities should be cooperative for 1st time offenders (those who don't do a serious offence)
For repeat offenders or Serious offenders on 1st time also should get severe punishment like " permanent jail"
And last but not the least I never support jailing of any innocents... Jailing even one innocent even by mistake is what i call authoritarian.. And no i donot support it... and yes that's not a good thing. No one has any right to jail any innocent people and say " your case is being investigated "(Well if case is being investigated then do the investigation first and then jail the guilty. not the other way around) .... and finally the innocent player don't know how long he has to wait 2 weeks/ 3 weeks / 4 weeks .. and finally after repeated pleas , his case gets heard and he gets released..

Re: KORIA PERM JAIL???
Just to make myself clear i do support the Permanent Jail for Bug abuses , Using Autoclickers and Sharing accounts(for repeat offenders, 1st time offender should be given at least 1 chance according to me).
I would even support Permanent Jail for those who are Bullying for any Item bought with real money even for 1st time offenders.( Like Levels or Pets or Something like that) . that's just equivalent to extortion and cheating. That's a Criminal offence... Any Criminal offence deserves Permanent jail... No second chances..
But i don't support the jailing of even a single innocents just on suspicion without sufficient proof.

Re: KORIA PERM JAIL???
Debate is good, but we do seem to be rediscussing things here from recent history.
Q: Why were so many players jailed before they had been found guilty of an offence?
A: Read this thread for justification
https://forum.dmgamestudio.com/viewtopi ... =2&t=15294
You may not agree with the reasons given but they were the reasons. The investigations have been carried out , the guilty were punished and the innocent were compensated.

I agree with you...about using bad lang.(i think its out of personal culture),Killing players without reason ...(don,t mean of clan war and who is in pvp) ........Look! Then look at Crime Law...in many countries there,re between 300 and 500 pragraphs... why that? Just for making justice..it was easy to make only one paragaph...PREM JAIL. . (Like in FT).... There is also about the persons who never noticed in police cartotics as a criminalist, cheater...etc. (they always have lower punishments) . The same looks Trade Law, Cvil Law...etc.
My advice is that take alook at statics of crime law and social change ..

Re: KORIA PERM JAIL???
Great point, Leone - And I should edit my above "100% agreement" comment - I support that for making sure innocent accounts are not perm jailed... but for sure innocent accounts will occasionally be jailed during investigations, and I see no alternative to this - you cannot leave accounts in game abusing bugs, because it quickly gets out of control and it's impossible to fix all the problems created. Afterwards, any accounts found innocent should be properly compensated.

Re: KORIA PERM JAIL???
Who is to decide what's the proper compensation for 3 to 4 weeks of wrong jail?
That may seem proper to the GM who jail the account. That maynot seem proper to the account that got jailed wrongly..
Do investigations first then jail.. that's how it should be and i would stick to it..
No matter how many explanations or excuses anyone gives that is never ever justified to jail wrongly..
Who would be responsible for 3 to 4 weeks of loss of gameplay?(Violations of Rule 9 of game. reduction of gaming experience. That's how i see it.)
The more i hear about innocent accounts getting jailed wrongly the more i get scared when i see any GM in game. Who knows who is next to be jailed wrongly? It can be literally anyone.
Earlier the thought in my mind when i see anyone's post in forum asking to get realised from jail.." A player is in jail then he must have done something wrong for sure. I have trust in GM . they definitley done good to jail him. He is unnecessarily whining to get out of jail."
Now when i see any post about a player asking realise from jail ( After knowing that innocents can also go to jail wrongly sometimes), my thoughts now " Oh he may or maynot be a criminal. what if he is innocent and wrongly punished? If he is innocent why was he jailed? Just bcoz he was in wrong place at wrong time? Oh my God next time that can happen to anyone!!"
It kind of reduces the trust level as i used to have earlier.
In addition to that the player ( i am talking about wrongly jailed ones) himself has to contact GM again and again asking him to investigate the case and realise him.Otherwise he would stay there for God knows how long..

Re: KORIA PERM JAIL???
Yes, pretty well sums it up with what I said here.blitzcraig wrote: Mon Jun 11, 2018 2:42 pm Not to mention that if a GM doesn't remind players not to use green (private) chat with them, then the players complain that they're being ignored, when really the GM never even saw the messages
I do have a question though - why are we talking about whether or not the game is "authoritarian"? Of course it is, and that's a good thing lol.... I mean, if you'd rather have a game with no rules, or with nobody to enforce rules, I imagine you could find one, but who would want to?!? (even players who like to cheat and steal wouldn't like that I imagine because they couldn't gain advantage over others because they would all be cheating too lol)
And I now have a greater understanding of why NO GREEN CHAT. Makes sense.
EDIT: {rasing hand} Oh, and I'm guilty of it too. No more.
I'll fight for what I think is right!
