Re: Pet Peave
I'd go out on a limb that nobody with pets needs the xp from wolves anyhow.
"What if you're level 0 and have Resa at spawn though?" someone sarcastically asks. Well, you're obviously unable to handle that simple escort quest then, so she'd stay nice and safe there while you figure it out...

Re: Pet Peave
Been here, done this: Did not go over well with some.
Today as I walked south on Map 0.0 there were two "worms" , a little east of the "hut, spaced a little north and south of it right where the main wolf spawn area is for new level 0 players to get there first quest.
Now I'm sure they owner of those worm, even if he has "just" reached level 820 and bought the worms, would not see his EXP go up a single point if here was there all day.
I wanted to put the worms on a hook and toss them in the river.

Re: Pet Peave
It is one thing to want your pet to be able to kill any monster, but another to be a real *cough* about it. No, I'm not suggesting that of anyone who chimed in before on the no restrictions side.LostKnight wrote: Wed Jun 13, 2018 4:50 am Been here, done this: Did not go over well with some.

Re: Pet Peave
I don't understand the English used here . What does "Pet peave" means and what's an " automatic pet corral"?
If u mean that pets should do Zero damage at start map 0,0 then i would vote NO. Pets are bought with real money and they should be able to kill everywhere. If accodirng to your suggestion pet shouldn't be able to kill at start map then what would be the scenario??
A wolf comes near pet and pet is just supposed to get attached and not do anything about that? What if the pet dies by not being able to attack? So who would be responsible for the death of the pet? (Yes given the time wolves can also kill any pet by critical hits)
And one more point : You are making this suggestion because i think u want to kill wolves. I understand that. But every player in FT kills something for XP depending on their level like yellow archer, mummies, blue swords and so on..
So by that logic, every player would also want in those maps(in which he is grinding) that pets of players higher level than him should have zero damage ..
So this is not a solution..
I would advise one thing though. If you want to kill wolves then there are many points where wolves spawn. not just near the Forster hut but at many other places too. If u are finding it difficult to kill near Foerster hut then u can try killing at other areas..

Re: Pet Peave
The pet damage set to 0 idea was not popular, as you can see in LK's link.
A corral, or fenced area, might be an acceptable alternative though. Pets still have full damage but monsters cannot enter the fenced area.
This keeps experienced players happy and brand new players not feeling dismayed.

Yes, but, as soon as pets enter map, zammo! They go right into a safe closed corral. When the player leaves the map, the pets go with them. Great idea dude!death911 wrote: Wed Jun 13, 2018 5:48 am I don't understand the English used here . What does "Pet peave" means and what's an " automatic pet corral"?

Re: Pet Peave
Thats not possible practically i think.
Then other players will start demanding pet corrals at their maps they are grinding.
moreover we can't keep an eyes on pets. What if a blue Archer spawns outside the pet corral and starts attacking pets . Non ranged pets would be standing helplessly getting attacked by the blue archers and moreover can die given the time(possible theoretically). moreover we can't watch our pets.
so i vote no.
