You cannot buy a pet at the "Mage Temple", "Pet Sop" or Shop - what ever you call it, on Map -1.-1, if you already have a pet.

The dog or the Ptery are pets. So if you have one: NO

If you have the Ptery, or another pet from the Pet Shop, you can still buy a dog.

Nope, as many as you want. but they take space, AND if a pet is FULL when you put it in the house, the contest fill empty spaces in the house.

So if you have 2 full pets and 10 spaces free in your house ... the excess (32 items) is tossed out on the ground, like when you mine...

Correct and correct. As LK sort of mentioned a set of "grinding" and "mining" pets is pretty common, but you might have a few extra types to swap out if the need suits.
