Re: The Trials and Tribulations of LostKnight
Don't worry. I am sending an Exorcist to take care of the Ghost. After the Ghost has been exorcised your cold will be better.
What is Death!!
To think our self confidence is lower than that of our enemies is Death!!
Staying alive in battlefield in fear of our enemies is Death!!
Running from our enemy instead of fighting is Death!!

The newbie LostKnight isn't so new anymore and has a forgetter that works well. But I do remember when I was so new that just one of these would kill me. And I remember GOLGREN doing what I am now doing.
But the two you see in the battler stuck around to the end.
Nice to give back a little.

Yes, it certainly is nice to give back when you can!
Earlier today I had the occasion to pass along some gifts to a friend, and it was great. Later in the day I found myself at spawn trying to scrounge up some rare fish and some higher level player helps me out with a boatload, then is a bit apologetic that he doesn't have more. So, the giving circle continues and I'm glad to be able to help perpetuate things!
Akkilles does offer a fine resort though, complete with lifeguards to boot!

Re: The Trials and Tribulations of LostKnight
Interestingly enough I gave and received "items" today, and in 24 attempts succeeded 22 times in failing to make Steel Plates because a friend asked for one. The 27th and 28th times were failures, I got the plates. Well, success in his eyes I would guess.
He stall needs to collect it though, has not logged in yet. And I have 1 extra.
I got a tan yesterday. No one recognized me in a bathing suit, who would have suspected the 98lb weakling was me. Quite a difference without my Blue Spandex Ninja Suit underalls and Viking garb.

Got a bunch of levels this morning before having to go out, then ↑↑↑, now here ↓↓↓.
Anyway with regards to this post I have to say, I have trained my two spiders in Ardesia a little better. They make little spider web bags and do there 'business' in there and when full drag then over to the "Organic Marerial" bin behind Ardesia Harbour & Shipping Company. Those are dragged out to sea every couple of days and disposed off.
Also, Rockheim South has a water purification plant in the sub-levels keeping Ardesia's central pond "drinking water fresh" and I've been stocking it regularly with rainbow trout so there is plenty of good eating.
Caught first thing in the morning and filleted and fried in garlic butter with almond slivers ... OH YEA, what a treat!
Anyway ... hoping to get another 5 levels today ... Wish me luck.
BTW: My day is from the time I get up to the time I go to bed which "always" spans the ending and beginning of days in FT Time.

Re: The Trials and Tribulations of LostKnight
Tuesday evening was a bit of a bummer. I was in The Hole grinding, hoping to get 5 levels to get to 550. Didn't happen. A gamer moved in south of me, taking with him 70% of my spawn, and I see:
So I guess he didn't realize he tok a huge chunk of my spawn with him. Few minutes later I left, getting 5 trained monsters, where I was getting 12 to 14 means a much longer time to level. I can always come back. So I spent the evening doing some crafting.
Yesterday was different, I went in and had enough time to get 5 levels. Came out and was just getting set to go Mith mining when I see:
YeeeeHaaawwww, my buddy is online. To which I responded in my usual manner, if in close proximity in open chat or long distance by /msg
LostKnight has much respect for GOLGREN and owes him a LOT more then he can ever repay.
So for the 3rd time since starting to play FT I found myself in [DR]. Started simple enough, one day GOLGREN asked me if I would help him build, he was alone. Now I can't say no to a friend and mentor, unless it means breaking a Rule of the Game: then it's a no. So some of you may have seen me in DRlandia last night. I was mining, chopping and making planks and building with BIGGEST little Green Ogre in the game.
At first I though "boring" ... but the building experience is really interesting.

Code: Select all
If I spawn too fast let me know I'll stop. I can't see you.

- Mining and depositing stones at the same time.
- Chopping trees, crafting planks and depositing planks in a building all at the same time.
- Wish a private house could do that!

I'm usually the same way (when helping friends), but that doesn't deter everyone. My advice when you're helping is to clan close to base, and drop when leaving. That's the only way to avoid clan pvp entirely.LostKnight wrote: Thu Jun 28, 2018 4:12 pm Please Note: entering a clan to help a friend does not mean I am a clan member or will be a clan member. Re: The Trials and Tribulations of LostKnight
So far it's been near the border, GOLGREN unclans me when we are done, the little robots start attacking and I make a beeline for the map border. 6 to 8 paces, I'm cool with that.madmaniacal1 wrote: Thu Jun 28, 2018 6:19 pmI'm usually the same way (when helping friends), but that doesn't deter everyone. If an all out "war" broke out I'd simply log off and wait a while, if I couldn't, I'd log out of clan and run for the border. Now if I die, I die helping a friend because it would be Pv-NonCompatant.
Once I killed a guy that was attacking me, and that was by mistake, I hit the wrong button. NOT PROUD OF IT!
However if something happens with the "to PvP or Not to PvP" idea that Arashiko mentioned, my going to Clan Map days are dead in the water.
