You know, over time, I've been privy to a lot of different information.
Kinda feels like you're going to burst sometimes, when you're not allowed to say things.
But sometimes, there are things I learn that I can share - or at least, figure I can, as there's no real harm in it.
There are now over 200 maps in FT (although, I don't know the exact number).
I'm not certain on the exact daily average, but FT can reach well over 1000 players in a day (24 hour period).
There are only a handful of content designers - maps, quests, and graphics.
In the month of August, I think the main average was 3 active GMs (others still helped a little, but not very active).
There is still only 1 programmer.
Just some neat numbers, I thought, when I was thinking of how far FT has come in the 4 years I've known it.

Perspective
You called me strong, you called me weak
But still your secrets I will keep
You took for granted all the times I
Never let you down
You stumbled in and bumped your head, if
Not for me then you'd be dead
I picked you up and put you back
On solid ground
But still your secrets I will keep
You took for granted all the times I
Never let you down
You stumbled in and bumped your head, if
Not for me then you'd be dead
I picked you up and put you back
On solid ground

Re: Perspective
It's easy to lose sight of the big picture when you are playing a game primarily for your own enjoyment.
If something goes wrong or there is one element you don't agree with or think should have been done better
it is easy to complain. If anything we need more insights into the hard work and creative juices used
to make this game FT a game we want to play in the first place!
So for my part...my apologies for grumbling at times....and my sincerest thanks for all the hard work by
programming, by creating content, and by administrating play within the game. I have played only around 2
years online so never saw the early days...but the content and play has increased a lot and seems to be on
a schedule to come faster and more frequently than before. So a big thanks to all!
I may stumble again and bemoan something that is human nature...but I hope I will be more pro-active
telling the good things this game offers and diffuse negativity when I can. I encourage others to join in
this effort as well.

Re: Perspective
Wow: 200 maps. I think there were maybe 15 back in 2013.

Re: Perspective
I know when I restarted a year or so ago I was totally surprised at the expansion of the game. Later when I dusted off my circa 2013 character it was more shocking how many quests had been added as I came across so many quests just heading back to spawn. I think the game as it is now offers a much more satisfying experience for the majority of players than it has before, especially those who are just starting.

Re: Perspective
200 maps? OK where are the other 100 maps! Just kidding, that's a big number...
Sometimes I feel like I have only "scratched" the surface. This post tells me I've got maybe a fingerprint on the surface.
Don't care, I'm still taking FT with me when I go, with an astral lifeline for new updates.
