the constant attacker
i have seen posts and comments about players that camp on any given map and kill other players repeatedly
i have also complained about this very issue and i see that i was wrong
this is a pvp based game
the idea in theory is supposed to work like this:
if a constant attacker harrasser is doing wat they do best and repeatedly killing other players the idea is that u gather up a group of players or friends(this is also a pro social game and u do better the more friends u make) and go attack them kill them run them off or at the very least make them log
the other choice is to not keep bringing ur pretty face to their weapon of choice: their are over 200 maps to go to and grind
ps the above theory will not work if the constant attacker has purchased a house on the map they are being the harrasser on keeping them safe from facing repercussions from their actions(i see i may have been wrong in my arguing for pvp protection for owners of purchased houses and i no longer believe that houses should offer pvp protection) and in this scenario my theory meets a brick wall
in all other scenarios the theory will work tho

Not 100% correct: italics yellow mine and open to interpretation by GM's
Rule 9. - Reducing game-playing experience of others! wrote:
If you abuse the sell button, if you send tons of messages to others, abuse the chat in any way (including spamming), if you block bridges/entrances by placing characters or pets in front, if you block spawn or do anything else to annoy other players, you will get punished. This includes spawn-killing, camping and abusing safe zones like shops and private houses. This rule also includes spam selling - selling items for any amount to a player without first asking or agreeing on a trade, especially if the requested price is very high.
If blocking, camping, and possibly other actions are performed in a tactical way for a short time and within a clan fight context, they might be allowed.
The staff team will first warn you and add you to an internal warning list. Then, you get kicked for a certain time or become an outlaw, so everybody can attack you. If a player is caught doing this (purposely or accidentally, either at the time or afterwards through checking game logs) they may have pets, gold, or even XP removed as a penalty for reducing the game enjoyment of others.
If you face a player, who breaks the rules - do not feed the troll. If someone acts in an inappropriate manner, leave the situation and contact our staff team. We will take care of it!

Re: the constant attacker
exactly - if a player is abusing the safe zone around their house, report it
yes, this clearly leads to a lot of issues and grey areas... hopefully one day the safe zone mechanic will be improved a bit... something like - if you're involved in PvP, the safe zone won't actually protect you when you run into it... maybe even on a timer for a few minutes (though that's probably just a dream lol)
but regardless - report abuse if it's blatant

Re: the constant attacker
There would also be a difference between attacking every player who comes near and only going after specific players. Complaints about some character waiting on a map and killing someone every time they go near may sound like harassment of sorts, but the person reporting might have a very limited perspective as well. What they see as targeting them specifically might not be accurate.

Re: the constant attacker
Quite a while back I saw a PvP fight going on and saw one player run to a pillar and start
Should one report it if "not" involved?
at the other whose comment was "stared" out and he left. Funny I thought and continued mining. later I touched the pillar, it was owned my the guy that laughed. Saw that repeat a few times and it prompted my going "left" as soon as I enter that mine to avoid the carbon by the door. Never thought about it back then, now I know it is abuse.hahahaha

Re: the constant attacker
That's the grey area, while "camping out" waiting for someone (hunting) one grinds. Needs GM interpretation.
If A avoids attacking B, C and D, but is capable of doing so, but always attacks E then grinding or not ... he is camping out and hunting E.
But if A attacks B, C, D, as well as E then it's PvP.

As you can see, it's not such a simple idea after all, is it?
