i no longer want to be part of the problem
is it just me or does the forums seem very toxic lately
i know that my own forum conduct has been less than perfect in previous posts
wat can i do to ensure that i do not nurture anger in other forum users
how can i as an individual not feed that flame
i want to be part of the solution
i need advice

Re: i need advice
I've found that when I feel myself thinking it's toxic, the best response is to walk away for a bit (maybe a day, maybe a week... whatever feels like it's been too long lol) - when I come back refreshed, usually the posts that had me upset seem much less abrasive with fresh eyes

Also the simple advice given to kids by parents works very well in forums: If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Then with time, that last part of Blitz's comment usually applies and then the good comments come easier.

Re: i need advice
I guess my suggestion would be that not everything needs a response. I'm all for tossing out an idea for a subject, but if I add my thoughts once it's ok to let it go at that. Yeah, someone will probably disagree at some point, but that's how opinions go.
Agree with the others though.

Re: i need advice
There is nothing wrong with debate or disagreements. It is refreshing to see different /opposing points of view and also our comments on here can directly influence what happens in the game. This is why the forum is so important.
I digress...
Returning to the thread topic, I would say debate the issue, not the person.

Re: i need advice
if it gets to you. take a (forum) break. i do it regularly..
However, if everyone agrees it would be boring and nothing woyld ever change/improve.
If you are passionate about something it can quickly escalate, but passionate people are the ones who care.
So in quiet a lot of instances iv initialy 'hated' some who had oppinions which were opposite to my own.
Only to find out later that they were great guys who cared as much for the game as i do.
discussion is a pre requisite for improvement
