Cheese, only if it's "light" (YUK!) and I'll pass. The bacon is a no-no because the fat and cholesterol controlled diet do not mix. However, I'll just chew on the jalapeños and chat with ya.SellSword wrote: Thu Nov 22, 2018 2:14 amI'll bring some cheese for the middle and bacon for a wrap and make the best out of that jalapeño!LostKnight wrote: Thu Nov 22, 2018 1:02 am So as you see we have two Summers with a Jalapeño Season between them.![]()

Come tomorrow there will be much chewing on turkey and chatting as well. Kind of funny how people make a big deal out of a main course that they would only eat 1-2 times a year, but even silly traditions are traditions nonetheless! (I will certainly eat delicious traditions though...)
One year in college I couldn't make it home, so spent the holiday with friends. Pizza, wings, and beer was our meal, and a day of video games filled out the day. Family and friends are the important thing and food is... food!

Well, Thanksgiving is over for me. Have not had one since 1998. It's in Oct in Canada and not celebrated here.
But, by all means have a bite and a sip for me.

Done! I'll make a move on the pie shortly too and if anyone says anything I'll tell them "I'm eating for two!" and try to slip away while they are confused!

Secret mission? I hope you are not training an army of turkeys to avenge their fallen and eaten comrades! If so, please disregard the above...

I can see it now. Mrs. SS looks down at her tummy, "Nooooo! That's dinner! Honest folks, I have NO CLUE!" Meantime the Official Naming Committee is coming up with names for little brothers or sisters.SellSword wrote: Thu Nov 22, 2018 10:09 pmDone! And SS is happily munching away on a second piece of pie on the back patio when he notices ....
THE COFFEE POT IS EMPTY - AGAIN!

Re: The Trials and Tribulations of LostKnight
AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!
Went downstairs a "few hours ago" to the laundry room looking for some "Brasso" or "Silvo"¹ only to find that "everything" in the cupboard under the utility sink was soaking wet.
Now there were rusty tools, electrical appliances, lamps etc that should have been thrown away 25 years ago. I picked up one piece of rust that, from it's shape, was very clearly once a pair of Channellock pliers. I've been through that cupboard before but was given a "Don't touch those are my tools". RIIIIIGHT! father-in-laws yes, but mother-in-laws; NO! Today they went for a walk, along with all his rusty cousins, right to the garbage container on the street.
I'm tired, my back hurts, I'm hungry, and I NEED A COFFEE and a shower - in that order!
I got my priorities right!
OH, found the stuff I was looking for and the rings are cleaning in it now. Not Brasso or Silvo but a product here that is similar.

OUCH!
I went through a similar enough situation years ago walking down to the basement with an "uh oh, this bottom step shouldn't go *splash*" moment... There is simply nothing good about that scenario.

Because it's funny as all get up and go!
"uh oh, this bottom step shouldn't go *splash*" moment...
Bet you needed the Roto Router Man (hmmmm: RotoRouter / Ogre)
But this was the laundry room on the ground floor. Now that tap can spit out water faster than that sink can drain water on a good day. Add dirt and stuff in the sink from the things "she" was washing and well, you know. Then she walks away and left the utility sink tap open while she went to lay down and watch TV.
Little while later my wife goes downstairs, and, to misquote you, it was an "uh oh, the kitchen floor shouldn't go *splash" moment. Soooooo, without calling me she, she shuts off the water, drained the sink, and squeegeed the floor, to the drain and then dried it all. She never thought to look in the cupboard under the sink. All the little plastic containers without tops: FULL. A huge rubber-maid type tray with separators full of tool et al: FULL
That's what I got hit with today.
