Summon scroll used to summon light

Here's an idea. It's already in game kinda. The summon scroll. It could be used to produce light in the screen the caster is on till they leave. Area same as staff reach. But benefit is brighter. Maybe residual light out from radius.

I think the original post was referring to something that would benefit all classes not just mages.

I think the original post was referring to something that would benefit all classes not just mages.

I picked up on the 'caster is on until they leave' and 'radius same as staff range' parts, which suggests that the new spell wouldn't happen without the mage and the benefit is focussed on the mage.

My ogre fisherman is making a small collection of summon scrolls drawn from the waters. Perhaps they are being thrown away from a lack of where or how to use them.

As far as what it's called it could "summon a light orb" and I guess the balance is that mages cant speed around so might as well be able to see. They cant use speed potions or stun so let them see.

It's not like the other classes cant use torch.
