PVP protection activated in battle?

PVP protection activated in battle?

Has anyone ever activated there PVP protection in battle? And also curious if you activate in battle and then you log off and on would you have protection for the next 7 days. Basically I want to use the PVP protection while under attack to retreat from Battle but I don't want to screw up my PVP protection activation

I pvpd a player and when he got red he used pvp protection and i couldn't finish him even it was middle of battle and he was red.
Anf if u active pvp protection and log off u have 7 days protection start from the moment u active it.
