If you are here maybe this one is suffering from it just like I was.
So I'm going to share how I solved it.
FT uses a java dll that I don't see with the file we downloaded, and if your computer doesn't have that file, this error appears constantly.
Then you must download this dll and place it next to the game. I can't share links so search for 'java.dll download'
I hope to help, SrLeonidaS

Maybe ur Anti-Virus has deleted it, or quarantained it !? idk why u missed it !
But all good now.
THX that u posted that issue with this problem.
I think it will b very usefull for many players having the same problem with java.
But now u see, the problem was not Forgotten tales...the problem was JAVA !

Greetings....SK
I reinstalled the java and it didn't work. I use antivirus for Windows itself, I don't know if he could have deleted the file or not.

I apologize to the compbatant for my mistake.
To solve this problem would it be possible to add this file inside the ft8 download folder? So everyone who downloads it, even if they don't have this file on their PC, would come automatically.

No!
This file should be part of java not the game. You had something wrong with your java installation if you are missing this file.
Putting this file is not the solution because each java version has its own java.dll file not compatible with other versions.
