Re: The Code of Chivalry for Knights without a Clan
Yes, I am sure people, game - RL, have failed. I have most certainly have many times, and almost failed myself here and in the pixel world of FT.
Thing is, we are human and here we are humans living as pixels.
Look at it a different way, if you accept your failure and moan about it and loose faith in "SELF" you have truly failed.
If you accept it, and get back on the path, and consider it a learning experience YOU have not failed. Others may only look at your OOPS!/mistake/failure, and loose faith or trust in you, and that's a hard thing to live with at times. It is always hard to regain their faith and trust again, but in time, if you stay the course, some will come around, and they will be better for it, but more importantly you will feel better about "SELF".
To learn from a mistake is not failure, it's experience!

I could not have said this better myself - it is so true, and yes, I can relate very much
I hope everyone will read this and consider taking it to heart - it is food for thought.

Re: The Code of Chivalry for Knights without a Clan
I gave had reason to revisit this thread ... and since my computer wallpaper has a nice saying on it today I'd like to share it:
Accepting our imperfections means we don't have to 'panic' about things.
Sometimes very hard to do for me, because I am a perfect specimen of an imperfect being!
Code: Select all
I am far from perfect.
But I will be perfect
for that imperfect someone,
who is is perfect for me.
Sometimes very hard to do for me, because I am a perfect specimen of an imperfect being!
I'll fight for what I think is right!

I try to be. I fail at times.
I am human...
However I will not 'knowingly' do something to fail
I'll fight for what I think is right!
