soooo figured id do some testing to see how effect skills are, whats the quickest and most effective way to level

up, at least for me.. :D

Using my swordsman, lvl210
with gear on, stats are as follows:

strength 429
Armor    348
Dex      124

HP 85013

using the Fragarach Sword (speed 7), and Vital Bracelet

In lvl 100+ dungeon standing in a corner where only 3 cyclops at a time could get to me.

on all runs I waited till I was full health again before stopping the clock at the end. so in a sense this is a

full cycle, ready to go again. with one or two noted exeptions. (Anytime I rested I rested all the way till full

health.)
also the skills were ready when I started each cycle, and almost as soon as they were ready to use again i did

so within a split second or two.

I used an Online timer with split function on my laptop. all times are copied n pasted to this notepad doc that

I will simply copy n paste into a post when done after calculating and adding my thoughts.

I have removed a couple redundant or failed timming tests.. lol

I hope some will find this makes sense to them and its easy to read, and more hopefully, interesting. Its more

just my curiousity, and wanted to get to the bottom of the skills.

The big question for me is: is it better to use the fire sword and rest more often, or use the always hit skill

and fight longer spending less time healing.
Are my stats high enough that the always hit skill is basicaly pointless.. mabe I strike with every swing

anyways..?

(Healing takes about 40seconds from low low red, so rough guess 1.6mill with heal in 3:30 ish)

*Because of the way the spawn worked out I almost only had one at a time, allowed me to push it to a fourth

kill, but was down to under 10k hp (I typically have about 20-25K left after three kills, and its sometimes easy

to push for that fourth.. getting more cautious as I go.. i would go down to 4-6Khp when i first came, but then

i only had like 10-15 to start with.. lol)

obvious degradition of dps over even just the always hit skill
(Tested as i wondered if my stats etc were high enough that I would basicaly hit them all the time anyways,

making that skill useless.. deffinately not the case. lol)

fire sword-- extended run--- got disconnected part way, decided to just keep rolling with it as i was getting

tired of it at this point. Due to the disconnect, things are a lil out of whack.. wasnt expecting it, so the

times i hit the split button are a lil off around there.. not sure if actions are 100% acurate after that

either, but the kills/rests/heals are pretty close

excluding that lousy first run hehe the overal average with firesword is:

7318xp/s

in the end we have:

fire sword: 7318   <---2mins 25secs per 1 million xp..
always hit: 5882
no skill  : 4000

so in theory it should only take, using the fire sword skill, 5.31 hrs to go from lvl 210 to 211 for 140mil xp.

(Altho by time I got all this done, as there were many miss runs etc, I only need about 10mil-ish.. soo.. half

an hour or so.. lol)




well that was something to keep me amused today! lol

hopefully thats all laid out in a realitively easy to understand manner n makes sense!

I suspect im near a threashold Using fire sword, I was always using it a second time on each cyclops, which

would finish it off and start in on the next with the skill active. in a few more levels I should be doin enough

damage to finish it off with one skill usage cycle.
as well higher hp will be able to kill 4 consecutively, possibly 5 before having to rest which will drasticaly

improve the xp/second just do to overall flow.

the main cause for the variances I suspect is, my fingers, timmng and weather I end up with 3 around me all the

time, or just about only one all the time.. lol

anyways, anyone else wants to post up on thier classes etc with a similar comparision, feel free!
would be cool to compare other peopels xp gain.

Im also thinkin that if I was in a spot where only 2 at a time can get to me, the results would be mariginaly

better as well.. haha.. but theres only about 3 of those spots in this dungeon, and they're pretty crowded these

days.. (Specialy since someone put an ore pile right next to my fav one.. *pout*)

be interesting to check out how it changes as I level up.. maybe redo it again in 20-50lvls, but all your gona

get is stats, and the xp/sec end calcs.. this was waaay too much typing etc.

Anyone know how much HP the cyclops have? would allow me to do a few other calculations im kinda curious.. mainly DPS.. lol altho XPS is pretty much a clear inidcator and essentialy the same thing here.. lol

Wow... Nice job collecting data here :) ... Red Cyclops have 30,000 HP , 70 DEX. which does mean you will always hit them with your high Dex. I'm guessing the difference there is just a coincidence that you happened to "roll" more critical hits while using always hit skill, which bypasses armor, allowing you to kill a bit more quickly... If I'm right, that skill didn't really help you... However, it's also possible that skill does something else that you and I aren't aware of.

hmm Maybe I'll have to do another run or two of the always hit and with no skill just to check it out.. lol

soo.. using fire sword skill, 30000hp / 45 seconds (Using fire sword) per kill = 666.666667 dam per second...

Now thats a freaky number.. must be the devils fire engulfing my sword!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that's scary ;) ...
When figuring, don't forget enemy armor, in this case, 150. Now, 20% if the time you will have critical hit and bypass that, so you can just figure all your hits (with your str) doing 309 damage. This means you will kill in 97 hits (give or take a little depending on how lucky you are with your critical "rolls") With attack rate of 1 hit every 0.7 seconds, this should kill a red Cyclops every 68 seconds or so with no skill active (which is what your data shows as well) ... It's nice to actually check (as you've done) that the stats work the way we understand them... Thank you :)
