SMACK BANG BOOM exactly I totally agree..... Most said he in my previous posts but in not as much detail.. I hardly even see mods anymore, they must be bored too lol. Only mod I see daily is Cleo. Looks like this game needs a big fat revamp as I said previous. Couldn't agree more with u magix.
To be honest the game had more going for it when magix went around destroying everyone and everything and this isn't even down to updates or even the game itself. It was down to an individual lol.
Lol I think the game needs to be seriously looked at now.

please realize this is MY personal reply to your posts, IT IS NOT a statement from mods or anything like that...

you have a lot if really good ideas here, I've supported many of them in other places before, so I'm going to not talk about them again here. a couple things i disagree with though: first, saying half the players are level 400 or 800 is not accurate... not even close.

second, if you can make 10 maps in a day, and they are good enough for creator to use without spending 100 hours adjusting them, please do...I'm sure it would be appreciated by everybody (I'd love it because it took me several weeks to do the six maps I just submitted)

third, IMO, you do not get to ask for harder quests when you are 20x more powerful than the average player... level buying obviously has good and bad with it, one of the bad things is that it makes some of the characters out of balance with the rest of the game... we cannot make anything for Lucifer, because nobody else could do it.. it also makes other aspects of the game impossible to balance (clan buildings, for example) ... I'm not saying you're bad for buying so many levels of course, just that the game would be better, and I think even you would have a lot more fun if nobody bought over a set level with any one character (grind from there would be great... that's another problem with buying so many, it devalues everybody else's levels... a level 400 should feel pretty powerful, but doesn't because a few players are SO much out of balance with the game)... also, I think this would encourage more players to buy levels, because they know they aren't buying for no reason... there is a goal there (right now, many people don't bother because they feel they will never really matter anyway)

anyway, I hope you take this as I'm trying to share it.. not an attack on you, just a reply to your posts. you've usually shown that you want what is best for the game, not just you personally (like the last updates...you were completely invincible before it, but you still say it was good for game...that's great, not a lot of people can do that) so I'm sharing my thoughts (again, my thoughts...not a mod team response ; )

I'm going to pick out what I think is the most important thing you said, and talk a bit about it... MORE CONTENT. I couldn't agree more... I think we need to fix basic pvp/outlaw issues, then add much more content... more maps, more enemies, more items, more quests... and like you said, more complex quests - give everybody something to work for (like you said, after 200... then what? )

here's the thing, the game is still growing. sure, not as fast as some would like, but the reason that so many players outgrew the game is the issue if buying levels. some got too strong, too fast for game to keep up, others passed up game because so many issues had to be dealt with instead of adding content (so many things rewritten several times because of ultra-high-level players.. again, I'm not saying anything bad about buying levels... I'm glad people have bought them, and I hope people continue... it just makes it difficult to keep the game growing and balanced, that's what I'm saying about that... anyway, let's not get so caught up in that that we lose focus on the good ideas here and other places :)

Yes... the problem is the game gets stale too quick. I have been playing FT for two months now, and this is my experience.

I was excited to find an MMORPG that could work on my device. I was ecstatic when I found out that I was encouraged to help make the game better! I have very little money so I cannot contribute in that way, so I made it a point to get on the forums and contribute the best I could, with ideas and helping others.

I started with a swordsman, I was excited to explore. I ran around and died... a lot. So I searched the forums, found out where the quests were, where the mobs were and how I could beat them... I spent a lot of time grinding, excited to level and be able to kill the next monster in the list. Once I figured out how that worked I was more into grinding.

But as my levels raised I began to get discouraged. Crafting an iron plate was horrible, I literally fell asleep in the attempt. I ended up buying one, and saved the quest until I hit 100 and didnt need it anymore.

I was excited when the new quests were added, but they were all finished rather quickly, except the crafting one... it was just tedious. And my rewards were a shield and sword I had already outgrown :(, but this is good for the swordsmen to come.

So, being a little bored with having finished all that, I decided to join a clan. After talking to some friends I had decided to join AHOU, a decent, mostly respected clan. I quickly learned that this was not such a good idea, and in fact made the game much less enjoyable, not better as I had hoped.

First of all, my swordsman became the most useless and worthless thing about the game, no longer my pride and joy. At first I thought that maybe I just needed to level more... but the length of time to grind levels was becoming more and more unbearable. Also, for grinding I need str, but pvp I need dex, and these two facts became a horrible contradiction that would make me miserable. And resetting stats seemed a horrible idea at this point... a level loss is hours of playtime.

Finally I got fed up with this, so I joined up with a friend and we started playing as archers. I never wanted to play as an archer, but I have told the bad joke they should rename the game to "Archer Tales"... you can understand I am sure. We also decided to join a mostly peaceful clan, as we wanted access to more worthwhile crafting, and most clans are deadly for lower levels.

So far, it has been a decent experience, although it did cause a little tension with my other clan. I could not keep up with what was going on in both clans, and decided to declan my swordsman. It was not favourable for him to be clanned anyway.

I had never intended in having more than one character, its just too much to focus on for me. I am unhappy with the change, the fact that I have time spent on a character that I feel is wasted now keeps nagging at me. I kept hoping pvp would be changed and my swordsman would be worth his salt, but I think now my archer will be far superior by the time that happens.

Ok, sorry for the ridiculously long post, just wanted you to know where I was coming from. This is what I have come to:

magix is right about update focus being misplaced... there are so many suggestions on forum about what to improve... I don't recall seeing a single one about improving graphics. Creator, it looks great, but its not what everyone is asking for. Some believe its whats causing more lag.

Forums are not worthwhile? Theres countless suggestions coming up, so many its hard to keep track... many of them are worth noting. But feedback and followup is missing... We have one suggestion post that is insanely long and hard to search through, and many other posts with good ideas getting pushed back. Ideas implemented should be moved to their own reference thread or deleted, and good ideas to be implemented should be noted and acknowledged. The forum needs some cleanup work, and I will volunteer if no one else wants to do it.

PVP is unbalanced and unfair has been said so many times. Melee is useless.

Crafting is horrible... another idea posted many times. I hate it tbh. Wish it gave exp.

Quests are too easy. After level 100, theres nothing, and thats only if you held onto an iron plate that long.

Motivation drops as you get higher in level. IMO this happens at 100+. Need something to shoot for.

I feel your pain... a lot of this is the downside of being part of a game in its early stages (I still think this game will grow a LOT, so I'm still calling this early stages) ... the upside, of course, is having a well established character (or several) and being able to help build the game to some degree...

anyway, I'm glad you brought up the XP for crafting, it's an idea we forgot to include in our attempt to organize the most pressing game issues (mods/admins are working on this now, hopefully asking for more player input in next couple days)

oh, and as for the graphics update... I agree that it certainly was not the most pressing issue (IMO)... but I think I understand the move... the longer he waits, and the bigger the game gets, the more stuff there would be to update (and more time needed to do it) ... two weeks from now, we would have been better off by updating something else (like adding content) ... but one year from now that same update may have taken an additional few weeks, so we're better off having it happen now (that is my thought, not from compbatant, just do you know ; )
