Item disappeared from inv

My character is Headache, I just joined a clan and my Forest Robe unequiped itself and disappeared. What can I do?

Were you killed by another player? He probably got your robe.

I didnt know that could happen. A disclaimer would be nice.

The level 40 robe never drops. Also, weapons do not drop either.

actually the disclaimer is right when you join the clan it gives a warning about PvP and how you could lose items and experience. You should always read closely before checking "yes"

Yeah, if you're killed in PvP there is a 30% chance that you will lose gear from one randomly selected slot...if that slot is empty or you have equipped something that can not drop (weapons, all gear which can be purchased with real money, and pharaoh armor) then you drop nothing...
BTW, if somebody knows FOR SURE that my understanding is off a little, please correct me

I had an item disappear in my inventory. Here's what happened:
At 9 pm mountain time yesterday I watched another character fighting a ghost dwarf. He then sold me what it dropped: swamp sheild for 0 and a diamond axe for 6m. I planned on selling the diamond axe for 10m because it is so powerful and for the next hour i searched for someone to sell it to until finally i found someone who would buy it. Just as i was going to sell it I realized that the diamond axe disappeared. I know i didn't sell it or drop it, so where is it? I want my diamond axe back. I wouldn't be making such a big deal about it if it were something else like a potion, but its a diamond ax:
